The Premier League table without VAR (video assistant referee) decisions have been revealed, causing plenty of intrigue on social media.
Already we have seen every single match week full of VAR controversies with managers and players questioning many of the bonkers rulings, handballs being much on the agenda.
One of the worst VAR calls in Premier League history came as Patrick Bamford’s goal was disallowed for his stray arm, pointing to where he wanted the ball to be during Crystal Palace’s 4-1 victory over Leeds.
According to ESPN’s Dale Johnson, it is Liverpool who have had more VAR decisions going against them than any other club in the Premier League.

Posted below is how the Premier League table would look with each club’s current points and points if VAR wasn’t used…
20. Sheffield United
Old points: 1; new points: 0
Their position change compared with the current table would see them remain in the same place, 20th, if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
19. Burnley
Old points: 2; new points: 2
Their position change compared with the current table would see them remain in the same place, 19th if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
18. West Brom
Old points: 3; new points: 3
Their position change compared with the current table would see them remain in the same place, 18th if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
17. Fulham
Old points: 4; new points: 6
Their position change compared with the current table would see them remain in the same place, 17th if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
WHAT HAPPENED IN MOST RECENT GAMEWEEK
Incident: Fulham were awarded a 95th-minute by VAR after Saïd Benrahma’s foul on Tom Cairney. The less said about Ademola Lookman’s attempt from the resulting penalty, the better.
Outcome without VAR (WEST HAM WIN): Lookman’s Panenka fail ensured that the VAR decision had no impact on the result.
16. Brighton
Old points: 6; new points: 8
Their position change compared with the current table would see them remain in the same place, 16th, if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
15. Manchester United
Old points: 10; new points: 8
Their position change compared with the current table would see them down one place to 15th if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
14. Newcastle United
Old points: 11; new points: 10
Their position change compared with the current table would see them down one place to 14th if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
13. Everton
Old points: 13; new points: 10
Their position change compared with the current table would see them down six places to 13th if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
12. Leeds United
Old points: 10; new points: 10
Their position change compared with the current table would see them up three places to 12th if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
WHAT HAPPENED IN MOST RECENT GAMEWEEK
Incident: Perhaps the worst VAR decision all season. Patrick Bamford had a 19th-minute goal disallowed thanks to a ridiculous offside call by VAR.
Outcome without VAR (CRYSTAL PALACE WIN): There’s an argument to be had that if Bamford’s 19th-minute goal had stood, Leeds could have got something out of the game. It would have levelled the scores at 1-1 but, minutes after it was disallowed, Palace made it 2-0. Bamford did pull one back for Leeds but it finished 4-1 to the home side. As it was such a convincing win in the end, we back Palace to have won the match even if Bamford’s equaliser had counted.
11. West Ham
Old points: 11; new points: 11
Their position change compared with the current table would see them up one place to 11th if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.

10. Arsenal
Old points: 12; new points: 12
Their position change compared with the current table would see them up one place to 10th if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
WHAT HAPPENED IN MOST RECENT GAMEWEEK
Incident: John McGinn’s 1st-minute goal was disallowed by VAR with Ross Barkley adjudged to be offside in front of Bernd Leno.
Outcome without VAR (ASTON VILLA WIN): Villa went on to beat Arsenal 3-0 to ensure they didn’t have to worry about McGinn’s goal being chalked off.
9. Manchester City
Old points: 12; new points: 12
Their position change compared with the current table would see them up one place to 9th if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
WHAT HAPPENED IN MOST RECENT GAMEWEEK
Incident: VAR awarded a penalty to Manchester City for Joe Gomez’s handball in the 41st-minute.
Outcome without VAR (DRAW): De Bruyne missed the penalty anyway so the VAR call was irrelevant.
8. Wolves
Old points: 13; new points: 14
Their position change compared with the current table would see them up one place to 8th if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
WHAT HAPPENED IN MOST RECENT GAMEWEEK
Incident: Leicester were awarded a 14th-minute penalty for a controversial handball against Max Kilman. Jamie Vardy scored the penalty.
Outcome without VAR (DRAW): Vardy’s penalty was ultimately the only goal of the game. He did later miss another penalty but, without VAR’s interference, we think a draw would have been the most likely result.
7. Crystal Palace
Old points: 13; new points: 14
Their position change compared with the current table would see them up one place to 7th if the Premier League table was without VAR decisions.
