How much tickets cost to watch your club in the 1980s

In this article, we have chosen to take a look at how much matchday tickets cost to watch your club all the way back in the 1980s era.

It comes as a photo of a newspaper showed prices for standing, sitting and the season tickets for Division One, Two, Three and Four sides.

Year-on-year supporters are spending more and more money as clubs look to squeeze out every penny they can from loyal fans, with the price of going to the game the highest its ever been.

One newspaper in particular from the 1980s was stunned at the thought of having to pay over £80 to buy a season ticket at Arsenal… madness!
