Another two matches have been added to April’s packed BT Sport schedule of exclusively live televised games – and just to increase the nail-biting drama, they’re both on the same day.
The final month of the season really is starting to take shape.
Filling another weekend, BT Sport will be covering four sides all with promotion on their mind on one mega day of National League action.
Title favourites Wrexham head to Barnet on Saturday 15 – and while they hope it’s their final trip to north London this season, the Bees are eyeing a Wembley Promotion Final, kick-off 12.45pm.
Later that day it’s the turn of Notts County and they welcome Woking, who are going all guns blazing for a top three finish. That match begins at 5.30pm.
April is looking good already and the Dragons are involved in the month’s mega match – and arguably the game of the season so far.
On Monday April 10, title rivals Wrexham and Notts County meet and BT Sport will show the division’s top two teams collide, with kick-off at 3pm.
But before that, Good Friday sees two teams chasing the top seven come together as Boreham Wood and Dagenham & Redbridge are live on BT Sport, with kick-off is at 5pm.
Keep your eyes on the National League website for TV picks for the rest of the season in the days ahead.
Upcoming live matches:
Friday April 7: Boreham Wood vs Dagenham & Redbridge (5pm)
Monday April 10: Wrexham vs Notts County (3pm)
Saturday April 15: Barnet vs Wrexham (12.45pm)
Saturday April 15 Notts County vs Woking (5.30pm)
BT Sport’s coverage, led by presenter Matt Smith, follows the regular season championship race plus the exciting end-of-season playoffs as 24 teams battle it out for two precious spots in the Football League.
Alongside Smith are commentators Adam Summerton and Adam Virgo plus a cast of expert pundits.
Alongside the weekly live match coverage, the BT Sport team bring fans every goal from every National League match in the weekly Vanarama National League Highlights show.
The show is created through an innovative link between BT and students associated with selected National League clubs who receive broadcast training from BT to go on and help create the show.
Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “Over the past few years we’ve developed an innovative relationship with the league, including world-first 5G-enabled remote broadcasts and training local students who help create BT Sport’s National League highlights shows.”
This is what fans said as the latest National League TV selections for April are confirmed…
@EducatedLeftFt: When are you going to announce what is happening on the final weekend end of the season to allow supporters to plan their day? Only 25 days to go. @WeAreTheFSA
@Karl_Dover: Changing the kick off times of games with under 2 weeks notice is just selfish. Do you ever think of the travelling fans?
@leechambo11: Train booked, can’t change it, gunna refund me ?
@Jon2383: Ridiculous! It’s being announced less than 2 weeks until the game! Want to a 3pm Barnet v Wrexham!
@thecrescent78: Moving kick offs at ten days notice. The end of the season must have taken everyone by surprise 🤯
@jayrad198900: So potentially could win the title that day if results go the right way? Kinda takes the spectacle out of it all. Shambles of a decision!
@cianevs: Got all the trains booked and they go and move it to 12.30 @btsport 🤦♂️
@obrienphotos: 10 days notice 🤪 just typical of this league. No thought to the away fans who have made travel plans having spent their ££ #WxmAFC @RobRyanRed @fearlessidzine
@harryt84: Wow, that’s appalling. 10 days on a hand that’s already sold out. Where’s the backbone here and say “No, we can’t have this”
@AdamGrif1: No thought for supporters who have made the plans, sorted & paid for travel already. Absolutely shocking. @btsportfootball @adamsummerton @adamvirgs19
@Chr15t0ffL: Disgraceful changing so late in the day for all 4 clubs @btsport
@OwenThornley3: Why now, why wait till everyone’s sorted transport then change it last second
@cricketcelt: Forest vs. Man Utd was originally in that timeslot, but Notts vs. Woking is just too massive.
@GutterShark83: That is a bit of a joke! Having to leave the house at 5am now! 😂🤦🏻♂️
@jnorthwood31: Great heads up 10 days notice. Shambles!!
@dai_jon: How does that help anyone who has arranged travelling to bring it forward at 11 days notice. Amateur !!
@SeanHarding08: Wow… Not much notice for the Wrexham Game!
@TomPutnam11: 10 days notice. That shouldn’t be happening ffs
@Lijoh1: Gonna be a super early start now 😴, thanks for that 👍
@ade_rawden: Get us out of this League please ..
@ms_th19: Get fucked. Shambles as usual, 1000 wrecham fans now with paid travel they can’t use.
@Fozzy102no: Tell them to fuck off! It’s disgusting what they’ve done to out traditional Saturday 3PM fixtures. How many have we had this season?
@SpaffNCFC: Fuck ya half 5s
@Andrew_E_Walker: Today’s sermon is at 1am so our sponsors in uranium rich countries can follow their favourite preacher of the moment… please lord get us out of this crooked, facile league and away from armchair oglers looking for a quick fix between having betting ads rammed down their throats
@194Royc: Not again, another i will have to miss now, thank god i didnt buy a ticket early,
@wardythemagpie: I remember the day when I saw a Saturday home game at 3pm.
@NathMcCarthy: What a farce 😑
@ms_th19: The kick off times don’t even make sense. Surely it’s better to put us late as we could be playing to win the title? Moving Notts to later in the day takes the spectacle out of it. Absolute shambles
@CalumWilliams: 😡 cheers for the 10 days notice, re arranged travel plans etc, another reason to get out of this tinpot league
@OneTrickTony: You’re a disgrace. 10 days before changing kick off times. Sooner we’re out this tin pot league the better
@AntMagpies: That’s rubbish for Wrexham fans tbf. I understand that BT expect them to seal the title then but unfair so late to change it…
