One former Premier League owner and chairman has offered to help troubled League One side Bury after making an appearance on talkSPORT.

That man is Simon Jordan who talked on the Jim White show about sorting out the mess the Shakers are currently in, especially after having two games suspended.

The club were due to play Milton Keynes Dons for their opener as well as Accrington Stanley on the 10th of August but now work is being done to try and prevent a third not going ahead.

Simon Jordan, a new pundit for the radio station, offered to help the controversial owner Steve Dale deal with the EFL who he called ‘clowns’ and ‘duplicitous.’

While revealed he wouldn’t put money into the struggling club but instead ‘concentrate minds’ and help resolve the situation.

The ex-Crystal Palace chief made an offer following an interview with Dale on the show which saw him struggle to answer some of the questions he was asked.

So far, the EFL has asked for more detailed financial information which Dale said in a recently statement that it was than was initially requested.

The club is under a transfer embargo, been deducted twelve points under the league’s insolvency rules and now putting their first-round Carabao Cup tie against Sheffield Wednesday on the 13th of August in doubt.

Dale suggests they have been treated differently to Bolton Wanderers, who are allowed to sign players and fulfil their fixture with Wycombe Wanderers at the weekend despite the proposed takeover by Football Ventures still ongoing.

According to Jim White, Bury owner Steve Dale texted the show and said he would contact Jordan this afternoon.
