Levi Colwill and James McClean clash with each other after just two minutes into the 2-2 draw between Chelsea and Wrexham.
The two footballers got into a heated altercation, grabbing each other’s shirts and had to be separated by officials, teammates and coaches, briefly halting the pre-season friendly which was being played out at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, America.
The incident occurred after a late challenge by McClean on Colwill, which led to both players grabbing each other’s shirts and sparking a brawl between the two sides.
The situation escalated quickly, requiring intervention from players and staff to separate them. Despite the intensity of the altercation, neither player received further punishment.

The game played out to a thrilling 2-2 draw, Christopher Nkunku put the Blues ahead with 10 minutes left of the first half, with Wrexham failing to clear Reece James’ corner.
There were two second-half goals from Luke Bolton and Jack Marriott, but Enzo Maresca’s side needed an 82nd-minute goal from Lesley Ugochukwu to avoid embarrassment, while League One side Wrexham could be proud they held the Premier League outfit to a draw.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said post-match: ‘The result is always important but in this moment, the most important thing is to judge the performance, especially after two weeks since we started.
‘I was very happy in the first half and also in the second half. It is a shame that we conceded the two goals but overall, when you think about players like Wes who played 45 minutes after a year out and different situations, [I am pleased].
‘The result for us is always important but in this moment, we have to judge different things so I am very happy with the performance.’
And when asked if Blues fans saw the same system he implemented at Leicester, Maresca replied: ‘Yes, in this moment we are trying to build with three [defenders] and two [in defensive midfield]. First half it was with Reece James inside and in the second half it was with Malo Gusto inside.
‘It doesn’t matter what the level of the opposition is when they sit back with 11 players behind the ball, it is always difficult to find space and solutions. It is not easy.
When asked about Wrexham’s goals coming from playing out of the back, he replied: ‘The first goal was not from playing out of the back. The second goal was, yes, but the first goal was one bouncing ball, we lost the duel and we conceded the first goal.
‘For sure we are going to concede goals during the season trying to build from the back. Hopefully we are not going to concede too many but it is one of the risks that you have trying to build from the back.
‘Absolutely [it is important to keep being brave playing out from the back]. I think you are going to concede goals in different ways so you just need to decide in which way you will concede goals.
‘Teams who build from behind, sometimes they concede but overall I think you are going to score more goals than the ones you concede.’
Wrexham’s Phil Parkinson said: “We’ve taken on a team tonight which club which has probably spent about a billion pounds over the last couple of transfer windows and well we’ve gone toe-to-toe with them, improved as the game went on.
“First half good out of possession we thought we could do better on the ball ourselves and and the second half I thought we married both sides of the game together really well and got the two goals.
“Could it have been better of course we could have won it but listen that’s a hell of a shift that had to put in tonight and obviously very pleased.”
Interviewer: “When you look objectively at the first two games two Premier League teams two draws but two brilliant performances to go with them.”
PP: “Yeah that’s right it’s uh obviously the golf in um you know clubs you know we two years ago we were in the National League you know we’re we’re building slowly but surely as a club and Chelsea an established club and competing in the Champions League most years and Bournemouth obviously been in the Premiership for for a lot of years so yeah just great for the lads you know to come up against better players and it’s not just the defensive side of it it’s on the ball that you got to be that split second sharper and I felt we really up to our game in the second period and there some really really good performances from us.”
