Leicester fans make their feelings known, leaving the home match against Liverpool on the 70th minute and took to slam post match interviews.
Curtis Jones netted twice and a stunner from Trent Alexander-Arnold guided an in form Liverpool to smash hapless Leicester apart.
The win continued the Reds’ recent winning streak while pushing the Foxes towards Premier League relegation.
Jurgen Klopp’s team has won seven of their last eight games, which is a huge boost to their bid for a top four finish and are now only a point back from Manchester United and Newcastle United despite having played one more game.
After another dismal defeat, Leicester find themselves in serious danger of slipping out of the Premier League. They are two points away from safety with just two games left.

As you can see above, Leicester fans decided to make their feelings known, leaving the match on 70th minute and then took to slam post match interviews from the likes of Dean Smith and Jonny Evans.
Trent Alexander-Arnold speaking to Sky Sports, first on team-mate Curtis Jones: “It’s not just been tonight, but since he came back into the team. He is a lad who would want to have played more but he has stepped up when he has got his chance.
“He has definitely impressed everyone. He sets standards for himself and we need to keep that as a team. Tonight was an outstanding night for him.
“We’re blessed to have players who can score goals. He is a midfielder who can score goals and in the system we play we need that. We try to create overloads. That’s the responsibility of the team. Curtis can arrive in the box and finish.”
On his goal: “[Jurgen Klopp] will take credit. He spoke to us and said let’s try it again. It’s been a while. I think we caught him by surprise. It was a well-work goal.”
Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones speaking to Sky Sports, on whether that was his best performance for the club: “I think so yeah, definitely. It was a game where I had the ball a lot and I scored two as well.
“I was off for 15 weeks, I had a hard time, so now I’m back and I’m in the team, scoring goals and helping the team. I’ll just try to continue.
“We do a lot of shooting in training. I’m playing games and settling in. You get more by being around the box so that’s what I’m doing. The day before a game we always have a [shooting] competition.”
On whether Trent Alexander-Arnold’s midfield position helps him: “Yes definitely, it allows me to stay high. I want to score and assist more. Having him there as a player who is calm on the ball, it allows me to stay between the lines. It’s working well and I hope it continues.”
Leicester captain Jonny Evans to Sky Sports: “I thought the first 25 minutes until they scored, we were playing well. The first goal caught us out and the quick second goal kills us off.
“You’re always at your most vulnerable when you concede. It knocks your confidence.”
On the first goal: “It’s one of them. As centre-backs, we probably got caught under the ball a bit. We didn’t deal with it. You can see it happening but we couldn’t get back in time to cut it out.
“I thought the crowd were great with us tonight and showed a lot of support. They could see we were working hard. We were playing against a good Liverpool side.
“They ran the game physically after scoring and we couldn’t compete in the end.
“It’s been frustrating for me with six months of muscle injuries. A lot of players are playing with knocks and niggles.
“Most players want to be out there competing and doing what they can for the club.”
On why they are struggling: “It’s hard to put your finger on it. We haven’t been good this season. That’s the bottom line. We’ve lost too many games and other teams have been better than us.
“Two more games left, we’ll have to put in the same effort we did tonight.”

Leicester boss Dean Smith speaking to BBC Sport: “I thought it was a really bright start. We played in their half. Unfortunately the first goal they put a ball over the top and score from it. It’s a talented team with supreme athletes. The better team won on the day. The goals we concede are disappointing. The third isn’t a free-kick, it’s disappointing.
“We’ve conceded the first goal, and even the second – we give the ball away and it’s a great strike, marginally onside, but just disappointing straight from the kick-off to give the ball away.
“What we did really well in the first half was make their centre-backs run back towards their goal.
“We have played a very good team who deserved to win. We were beaten by a better team. It is two marginal onside goals and a free-kick that should never have been. I can’t question the players and I won’t.”
On what he has said to his players: “Not an awful lot. It’s a tough time to lift the players. Liverpool made it very tough for us. We have to keep believing.”
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to BBC Sport: “We had to figure out a little bit how we can build up the game for 15 minutes or so. I really like what we did after that. Incredible goals. The second goal was super. It was a nearly perfect game. Between 55 and 75 it was a bit more open than I’d like.
“Unai is doing a heck of a job at Aston Villa. We have to make sure we’re ready.”
On winning to keep the pressure on the top four: “It’s all we can do. I don’t think it’s likely [finishing in the top four] when you see how they play, they have so much quality. It would be a real shame if they slip and we’re not there. So we have to do our job.
“I think we have qualified for European football which six weeks ago wasn’t in sight. I wouldn’t have believed it [that they’d be in the Champions League mix]. We didn’t show this consistency.”
Leicester City manager Dean Smith speaking to Sky Sports: “We concede an awful goal from our point of view. We wanted to play in their half and make their centre-backs run back to goal but one ball beats our back four and then they score another soon after. Then you’re chasing a game against a supremely talented team.
“For the first goal there is a lot we can do to deal with it. It’s really tough to come back against teams like Liverpool, with the way they keep the ball. Goals change games. Two goals that are marginally onside. We wanted to make a game of it in the second half, we did at times, but the third goal kills the game. It’s never a free-kick. Really disappointed.
“I thought the second goal looked like we had frazzled minds from the kick-off. Liverpool want to press and we played straight into their hands. That’s where we have to have clearer minds and think clear under pressure. We know what we need to do now.”
On the reaction of the home crowd: “The crowd are here to see us try and win football games. They get disappointed when you’re two goals down at half-time. You understand that when goals go against you. That is only my third home game and it’s the first home defeat we’ve had. They were magnificent in the first two against Everton and Wolves. No football fan wants to see their team get beat.
“It is a group of really good footballers but we came up against a team that overran us physically today. It’s pretty simple. We need to win our next game. It will be tough at St James’ Park. It would be nice to take the lead for once.”
FAN REACTION
ON JONNY EVANS
@nashernal: As a Leeds fan I can feel his pain – the whole situation is a mess and whichever of us go down out of Forest, Everton, Leicester and us will deserve to go due to some really bad decisions by those in charge – then you look at Brighton, Bournemouth and Villa
@GaryMarriott73: The crowd was great 🤣🤣 he must be at a different ground
@reddog_93: The crowd were great wtf they started booing in the first half and didn’t stop 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@UnitedLeeds14_: He’s joking if he thinks the crowd were happy with that the booing was bad at ht and worse at end.
@_samorr_: “The same effort as we did tonight”
Just fuck off 😂
@Carl_M79: Jonny Evans: “I thought the fans were really with us tonight and gave us a lot of support.” Eh? They sang ‘God save the King’, threw in some tragedy chants and booed you off at half time.
@ninety_six96: Delusion. Absolute delusion. No wonder we’re in the sh*t.
@MarcoC_94: Effort? Commitment? Tonight? You’re having a fucking laugh
@craiglcfc: Get fucked.
@AC1884: Leave our football club and never return.
@DartsJake12: Looks like he’s about to burst out laughing😂😂😂😂 fucking get rid of them all
@20Paw7: Is he actually making out the Leicester players competed tonight?? It was one of the worse performances iv seen from a relegation threatened team in years. No fight or spirit, I would be fuming as a Leicester fan.
@lobwinners: “We’ll have to put the same effort in we showed tonight” Not a single one of you put in an ounce of effort what a fucking shower
@F1_AN: Sums this squad up. Thinks tonight was some sort of committed performance. Absolutely deluded #LCFC

ON DEAN SMITH
@TheRug85:
A Dean Smith side I’m watching:
💩 has fans booing
💩 looks completely disjointed
💩 players with awful body language
💩 players playing with no self belief at all
I’ve seen this before somewhere…..#lcfc #ncfc
@Ashleypp1986: Let’s not kid ourselves. The damage was already done before Smith came in, but I’ve got to say I expected a lot more of a response and expected Smith to change systems and stay clear of Rodgers ball but he hasn’t changed a thing which is really baffling! #lcfc
@RFox55_: Dean Smith has been a honking appointment. Another thing Top has got wrong. The players are a disgrace to the club and the sport, of course. Smith looked lost today. Got no depth on bench but subs still made no sense. No belief, no ambition on the pitch. King Power OUT. #LCFC
@mnorman1985: I honestly think we’ve actually performed worse under Dean Smith, especially the last 2 games. #lcfc
@lcfcjosh05: Stop with these shite excuses Dean, we deserve to go down. Maybe start calling out some of the players instead of sticking up for them.
@c_r_5: He’s having a laugh. He keeps picking players who won’t be subject to the 50% pay-cut because they won’t be here. They simply don’t care
@LCFCDan17: Nothings fucking changed has it. Everything’s fucked I can’t be arsed
@mnorman1985: Fuck off. What a load of bollocks. If the last 2 performances were classed as having “fight, desire & attitude” then he may as well fuck off tomorrow morning along with the 10 or so players that are leaving in the summer. #lcfc
@lcfcjoss: What games is he watching, I’ve never seen a team that couldn’t care less whether they went down
@Bedfordfoxajb: Smith has been on the same media course as Rodgers. The pair of them seem to watch a different game to the fans every week!
@rudfoxes0205: The fight, hunger, passion & desire went along time ago, along with our Prenier League status, we will get obliterated at Newcastle & West Ham game will count for precious little. Shambolic season, only the fans feel the pain, players move on & don’t truly care
