In this article, we take a look at how FourFourTwo’s predicted 20/21 League One table compared with the actual final standings.

Fans up and down the nation got their hands on the much loved season preview which is came out on the 26th of August of 2020.

Reader of last year’s edition of the magazine were able to read their verdicts on each of the 92 Premier League and English Football League teams, expertly reviewed and rated alongside previews for the Women’s Super League, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga.

Have a look at who they thought would finish from 24th to 1st in their League One table for the 2020/21 season, and how it compared with the actual standings below…

24) NORTHAMPTON

FourFourTwo have predicted that Northampton Town will end up finishing 24th and relegated from League One for the 2020/21 season.

The club went on to finish in 22nd place and relegated to League Two. Meaning the magazine had them to finish relegated, but two places lower than than their final position.

23) AFC WIMBLEDON

FourFourTwo have predicted that Glyn Hodges’s AFC Wimbledon will end up finishing 23rd and relegated from League One for the 2020/21 season.

The club went on to finish in 19th place. Meaning the magazine had them to finish lower than their final position.

22) BURTON

FourFourTwo have predicted that Jake Buxton’s Burton Albion will end up finishing 22nd and relegated from League One for the 2020/21 season.

The club went on to finish in 16th place. Meaning the magazine had them to finish lower than their final position.

21) ROCHDALE

FourFourTwo have predicted that Brian Barry-Murphy’s Rochdale will end up finishing 21st and relegated from League One for the 2020/21 season.

The club went on to finish in 21st place and relegated to League Two. Meaning the magazine got their guess spot on.

20) ACCRINGTON

FourFourTwo have predicted that John Coleman’s Accrington will end up finishing 21st and relegated from League One for the 2020/21 season.

The club went on to finish in 11th place. Meaning the magazine had them to finish lower than their final position.

19) WIGAN

FourFourTwo have predicted that the Latics will end up finishing 19th in the League One table for the 2020/21 season.

The club went on to finish in 20th place. Meaning the magazine had them to finish a place higher than their final position.

18) SHREWSBURY

FourFourTwo have predicted that Steve Cotterill’s Shrewsbury Town will end up finishing 18th in the League One table for the 2020/21 season.

The club went on to finish in 17th place. Meaning the magazine had them to finish a place lower than their final position.

17) BRISTOL ROVERS

FourFourTwo have predicted that Joey Barton’s Bristol Rovers will end up finishing 17th in the League One table for the 2020/21 season.

FourFourTwo have predicted that David Artell’s Crewe Alexandra will end up finishing 15th in the League One table for the 2020/21 season.

FourFourTwo have predicted that Grant McCann’s Hull City will end up finishing 14th in the League One table for the 2020/21 season.

The club went on to finish in 1st place, earning promotion to the Championship. Meaning the magazine had them to finish much lower than their final position.

FourFourTwo have predicted that Michael Appleton’s Lincoln City will end up finishing 10th in the League One table for the 2020/21 season.

The club went on to finish in 5th place. Meaning the magazine had them to finish five places lower than their final position.

FourFourTwo have predicted that Karl Robinson’s Oxford United will end up finishing 5th in the League One table for the 2020/21 season.
