EFL Championship Outright Title Winner, Promotion and Relegation odds

In this article, we check out the EFL Championship Outright Title Winner, Promotion and Relegation odds as we look at the 2023/24 season.

It’s been quite the season so far, and as we enter the closing stages of it, there is still a huge amount at stake with it potentially all going down to the final day.

Last weekend, Leicester were eliminated from the FA Cup by Chelsea and lost their position at the top of the Championship standings, although Leicester have a game in hand.

Leeds United took over the summit following their 2-0 victory against Millwall on Sunday and now we’re in for quite the title battle despite it looking like Leicester were way out in front on New Year’s Day.

At the end of Christmas break 2023, Leeds were 17 points adrift of first place. But going into Easter break 2024, they are top of the league are also the only team in the top four tiers of English football yet to concede a single league goal from open play in 2024.

Ipswich Town are just one point behind the top two following their 6-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday while Southampton and West Brom are currently in fourth and fifth place in the table.

The Saints have shown great form under Russell Martin, while the Baggies have exceeded expectations under Carlos Corberan.

Hull, Coventry and Norwich are battling around the playoffs. Coventry showcased their progress under Mark Robins by defeating Wolves 3-2 at Molineux last Saturday, setting up an FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United at Wembley.

Norwich also re-entered the race for promotion from the Championship after solidifying their position in the top six with a 3-0 win against Stoke City on Saturday. David Wagner’s team is aiming for an impressive comeback to the Premier League, considering they were in 17th place after 15 matches this season, losing eight of them.

Rotherham, currently at the bottom of the table with 20 points, seem to be in a difficult position.

However, Sheffield Wednesday, located just above them, have shown a strong performance with five wins in their last eight Championship games under Danny Rohl’s leadership.

Huddersfield, another Yorkshire club in the bottom three, has faced challenges with a recent draw leading to the end of Darren Moore’s tenure.

Caretaker boss Jon Worthington and new manager Andre Breitenreiter have managed to secure 11 points out of a possible 27, moving the Terriers to 39 points.

Despite a disappointing goalless draw against Rotherham, Huddersfield’s failure to secure three points could have consequences at the end of the season.

Birmingham, on the other hand, has made changes by bringing in Tony Mowbray after a decline following the replacement of John Eustace with Wayne Rooney.

QPR’s season mirrors Sheffield Wednesday’s, with Marti Cifuentes leading the team to 32 points in 24 games.

Stoke, however, is facing the risk of relegation to the third tier for the first time since 2002, with just five wins under manager Steven Schumacher.

Blackburn, under new management by John Eustace, is struggling to turn things around and secure wins.

With a series of draws and defeats in recent matches, Blackburn must find victories in their challenging upcoming fixtures to avoid relegation.
