Fans up and down the nation got their hands on the much loved season preview which is came out on the 26th of August of 2020.
Reader of last year’s edition of the magazine were able to read their verdicts on each of the 92 Premier League and Football League teams, expertly reviewed and rated alongside previews for the Women’s Super League, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga.
Have a look at who they thought would finish from 20th to 1st in their Premier League table for the 2020/21 season, and how it compared with the acual standings below…
20) WEST BROM
FourFourTwo predicted that West Bromwich Albion will end up finishing 20th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the West Midlands outfit finished 19th, and were relegated, with Sam Allardyce in charge rather than with Slaven Bilic who was axed during the season.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Baggies would finish 1st in the Championship, instead, they finished 2nd and promoted.
19) FULHAM
FourFourTwo predicted that Scott Parker’s Fulham will end up finishing 19th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, they were accurate in guessing they would be relegated again. They finished in 18th place.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Cottagers would finish 4th in the Championship, instead, they indeed finished in that position and promoted via a playoff final win against Brentford.
18) ASTON VILLA
FourFourTwo predicted that Dean Smith’s Aston Villa will end up finishing 18th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, Villa did better than what the magazine predicted. They ended up in 11th place, a great transformation for Dean Smith, and had Grealish out injured for a good while.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Villans would finish 16th in the Premier League, instead, they finished 17th.
17) NEWCASTLE
FourFourTwo predicted that Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United will end up finishing 17th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the North East outfit finished the season 12th, but it wasn’t all positive for them, spending much of the season a place above the drop zone.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Magpies would finish 19th and relegated from the Premier League, instead, they finished 13th.
16) CRYSTAL PALACE
FourFourTwo predicted that Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace will end up finishing 16th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the club finished 14th place, before Roy Hodgson departed Selhurst Park at the end of the campaign.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Eagles would finish 13th in the Premier League, instead, they finished 14th.
15) WEST HAM
FourFourTwo predicted that David Moyes’s West Ham United will end up finishing 18th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the club had a belting season, finishing 6th place and secured Europa League football.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Hammers would finish 10th in the Premier League, instead, they finished 16th.

14) BRIGHTON
FourFourTwo predicted that Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion will end up finishing 14th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the club were looking avoiding relegation to the Championship, and did so, finishing 16th.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Seagulls would finish 20th and relegated from the Premier League, instead, they finished 15th.
13) BURNLEY
FourFourTwo predicted that Sean Dyche’s Burnley will end up finishing 13th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the club disappointed, but didn enough to avoid the drop, finishing 17th.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Clarets would finish 14th in the Premier League, instead, they finished 10th.
12) LEEDS
FourFourTwo predicted that Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United will end up finishing 12th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the club had a good season overall, finishing 9th and accumilating a record amount of goals for a newly promoted side in the first season in the Prem.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Whites would finish 2nd in the Championship, instead, they finished 1st and crowned champions.
11) SHEFFIELD UTD
FourFourTwo predicted that Sheffield United will end up finishing 11th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the Blades continued to struggle their form they had before the pandemic started. They finished 20/21 right at the bottom and waved goodbye to Chris Wilder.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Blades would finish 18th and relegated in the Premier League, instead, they finished 9th.
10) EVERTON
FourFourTwo predicted that Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton will end up finishing 10th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the magazine was spot on, the Toffees, who had glimpses of potentially getting a European place, then flopped and finished 10th.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Toffees would finish 8th in the Premier League, instead, they finished 12th.
9) LEICESTER
FourFourTwo predicted that Brendan Rodgers’s Leicester City will end up finishing 9th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the Foxes only just missed out on the top four, finishing 5th place.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Foxes would finish 6th in the Premier League, instead, they finished 5th.

8) SOUTHAMPTON
FourFourTwo predicted that Ralph Hassenhuttl’s Southampton will end up finishing 8th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the Saints finished in 15th place, despite being 3rd by the 13th game of the campaign.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Saints would finish 12th in the Premier League, instead, they finished 11th.
7) WOLVES
FourFourTwo predicted that Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers will end up finishing 7th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, they did worse than the prediction, finishing in 13th place, and worth noting they lost goalscorer Raul Jimenez to injury, then Nuno left by mutual consent following the fianl day.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that Wolves would finish 9th in the Premier League, instead, they finished 7th.
6) TOTTENHAM
FourFourTwo predicted that Tottenham Hotspur will end up finishing 6th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, Spurs ended up finished a place higher than their main rivals Arsenal, in 7th.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that Spurs would finish 3rd in the Premier League, instead, they finished 6th.
5) ARSENAL
FourFourTwo predicted that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will end up finishing 5th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the Gunners had a dreadful season yet again, though missed out on European football altogether and finished 8th place.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Gunners would finish 4th in the Premier League, instead, they finished 8th.
4) CHELSEA
FourFourTwo predicted that Frank Lampard’s Chelsea will end up finishing 4th in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the Blues only just finished in 4th place, securing Champions League football, then won it against City after the league’s final day.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Blues would finish 7th in the Premier League, instead, they finished 4th.
3) MAN UTD
FourFourTwo predicted that Ole Gunnar Solskaer’s Manchester United will end up finishing 3rd in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the Red Devils finished in 2nd place, behind Man City and after 3rd place Liverpool.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Red Devils would finish 5th in the Premier League, instead, they finished 3rd.
2) LIVERPOOL
FourFourTwo predicted that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will end up finishing 2nd in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the Reds finished in 3rd place, behind Man Utd and champions Man City.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Reds would finish 2nd in the Premier League, instead, they finished 1st and crowned champions.
1) MAN CITY
FourFourTwo predicted that Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will end up finishing 1st in the Premier League table for the 2020/21 season.
Compared with the actual final standings, the Sky Blues ended up finishing top of the table, so spot on! Although it didn’t look as though it could end that way following a poor start.
For the 2019/20 season, FourFourTwo predicted that the Sky Blues would finish 1st in the Premier League, instead, they finished 2nd.
