After Neal Ardley left AFC Wimbledon earlier this week, we’ve taken a look at who are favourites for the job at Kingsmeadow.
Ardley, who resigned from the club, was the third longest-serving manager in England’s top four divisions, having taken over in October 2012, but with the club 23rd in League One and only just beat Haringey Borough in the FA Cup on Friday.

Ian Holloway currently works as a pundit on the EFL Highlights show on Quest after he lost his job at Loftus Road in May 2018.
He has previously managed Bristol Rovers, Queens Park Rangers, Plymouth Argyle, Leicester City, Blackpool, Crystal Palace and Millwall.
Holloway has won promotion at three different club in his managerial career – The Second Division in 2003-04 with Queen’s Park Rangers and the Championship playoffs in 2009-10 with Blackpool and again in 2012-13 with Crystal Palace.

4th) STEVE COTTERILL

Steve Cotterill was a former player with Wimbledon between 1989 and 1993, playing 24 games and scored 7 goals.
He managed Birmingham City but was sacked in March 2018.
The other clubs he has managed are Sligo Rovers, Cheltenham Town, Stoke City, Burnley, Notts County, Portsmouth, Nottingham Forest and Bristol City.

3rd) PAUL HURST

Paul Hurst is being reported with an impressive return back to Shrewsbury.
Hurst guided Salop to the Playoff Final in May, despite starting the season as favourites for relegation, alongside the final of the Checkatrade Trophy.
He left to join Ipswich in the summer but was sacked in October but was sacked after taking them to the bottom of the Championship table.
However, it’s said that Hurst is interested in talking to Notts County about the vacant managerial role at Meadow Lane, according to reports from Nottingham Post journalist, Leigh Curtis.
It’s also been reported that he’s keen to return to Shrewsbury Town.
