A countdown to the start of the 2022/23 season continues, even more so now the EFL fixtures are revealed for what will be a unique campaign.
All 72 clubs found out who would play who and when at 9am on Thursday the 23rd of June 2022, exactly one week after the Premier League fixture list was revealed.
The Championship, League One and League Two seasons begins on the weekend of July 30th. This is one week earlier than the 2021/22 campaign started, and means teams will have a 12-week break between the seasons.
However, the Championship will take a break in the middle of the season to accommodate a winter World Cup for the first time with League One and League Two to go on, though some games may be postponed due to player involvement.
Games taking over the weekend of November 12/13 will be the final ones before players are called up by their countries for the tournament travel to Qatar with the Championship resuming Saturday December 10th, eight days before the World Cup final, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday December 18th.
