Wolves mock Man Utd keeper Onana with cheeky TikTok video

Wolves have taken to mock Man Utd keeper Andre Onana with a cheeky TikTok video of the much talked about challenge on Monday.

The West Midlands outfit posted via their official TikTok account using a clip from the much loved show Impractical Jokers and then added in footage of Onana clattering Kalajdzic as the ball came in.

Wolves simply posted: “VAR. We’ve missed you. 🙃” into the post description, getting hundreds of thousands of views since uploading.

Onana believed that referee Simon Hooper and VAR were correct not to hand Wolves a last-gasp penalty in Monday night’s Premier League clash at Old Trafford.

Man Utd got their sseason of to an unconvincing win as Raphael Varane’s header 14 minutes from time sealed the three points.

But Wolves should have really scored from the huge amount of chances they produced and might gave had the chance to equalise from the penalty spot at the endwhen debutant Onana collided with Sasa Kalajdzic, but the goalkeeper got away with it.

Wolves boss Gary O’Neil said Onana tried “to take the centre-forward’s head off” and then said Premier League referees’ boss Jon Moss said sorry to him for the decision after the match.

But when questioned if it was a penalty, Onana said: “No, goalkeepers make decisions, sometimes you are right, sometimes you are not.

“I made a decision and I am responsible for everything. For me it was contact between two big guys and nothing happened. But for us, the most important thing was to win and I am happy for the victory.

“Of course I was confident (it would not be given).”

Onana had been making his Premier League debut afterhis summer move from Inter Milan.

He’s previously worked with Erik Ten Hag at Ajax, and will have to win over the fans especially after coming in as replacement for David De Gea.

But Onana says it is a case of him adapting to his new surroundings rather than the United defence changing their game.

“Listen, I think I’m playing with some of the best defenders in the world because playing for Manchester United is not something easy,” he adds.

“I think I’m the one who has to adapt because United is a very big club and I’m proud to be able to perform here and proud to play alongside these defenders and if something has to change, I think we will do it.

“At the moment everything is going right and we just have to continue working like this and I think it will be OK by the end of the season.”

Here’s what fans said as Wolves mock Man Utd keeper Onana with a cheeky TikTok video…

@NickWBA1993: Can’t stand that lot down the road but this is brilliant #wba

@Rob_Smith2101: Laughter is the cure for pain

@sophierhi13: This is fantastic 😭😭😂😂🖤🧡 we were robbed last night

@G2Amenyah: He was confident it wasn’t a pen because he’s at Old Trafford, of course it’s not gonna be given 🤣

@lisagillmore: Looking a little embarrassing now the match officials have been dropped for next week

@AwayEfl92: He nearly killed him

@ConLUFC93: Let me ask you this. If the wolves attacker smashed into the keeper and it bounced out to a tap in, would it have been a man u free kick? Fucking absolutely. Double standards in this game are sickening 🤮

@YasWWFC: He don’t even believe his own words. Mouth saying one thing , his body language saying the polar opposite lmao😂

@AshDolan16: Of course he’s confident it wouldn’t have been given, he has to look at the badge on his top. End of story.

@bossthfc: Wolves Admin are savages on tik tok 😂

@Young18Yummy: it’s kinda funny tho, i don’t mind it. Wouldn’t want us doing this tho, small club activities

@privatefigure_: BREAKING: The officials from last night’s game between Manchester United and Wolves did an impressive job the FA has decided to reward them with a one week holiday.

@TurfCastPodcast: Same thing every week but nothing ever improves.

@SmnLlyd5: Has anyone considered prison time for these officials? That seems only fair

@minxnicki: It was obvious at the time. No good after the fact to any Clubs affected by poor refereeing is it 🤦

@scfcnat: The embarrassing thing is, I have not met anyone today who didn’t agree that is was a penalty. Anyone who has had any involvement in football clearly knew this was a penalty, these “professionals” didn’t. They will sit out one week and be back next week. Longer bans are needed

@ashmamoojee: Replay the game. They’ve effectively said they got a game turning decision wrong.

@stevecurry1970: The ref is partly to blame but the VAR lot should be sacked never mind dropped they are there to support and help the referee

@TimTyrrell14: To late now. Nobody ever gets a thing there …… even Howard Webb dare not give a thing against them and he’s the one in charge…… bent

@Frank_Wightman: Fair enough if the on field ref missed it – he only sees it once, in real time he could easily have had his view obstructed etc. No excuse for the VAR official though – countless replays all in slow mo from all different angles. What a disgrace!!!

@SamanthaWalsh1: It’s ok dropping these officials but that doesn’t make things right. Wolves are no better off and could have got 1 point or 3
