Former Colchester United captain Kemal Izzet has been appointed as the new first team manager of Brightlingsea Regent.
He replaces Tom Rothery who resigned in September and was unveiled at the Isthmian League Premier Division side on Tuesday night.
Brightlingsea currently sit 19th in the table with 9 points from 12 games.

Izzet made 473 appearances for Colchester United and captained the team that won promotion to the Championship in 2006.
He then moved to Needham Market, played 120 times and then became their head of youth.
His role as academy manager was effectively removed following restructuring, in May 2017, Izzet was appointed manager of Eastern Counties League club Stanway Rovers.
For the last two seasons, he was head coach of East Thurrock United under manager John Coventry, he played a part in Essex Senior Cup glory last term.
