Footage on social media shows a fan left bloodied by police after getting baton to the head with full force following the Championship South Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday.
The incident, which is said to have taken place outside Barnsley bus station, started off with two lads scrapping, only for an officer to run in and hits one in the head.
Passers by looked on with horror at seeing such shocking actions taken towards the youngster, who was left hurt, bloodied and in a daze.
“He’s injured, he’s injured” is what another officer could be heard saying as the ground also got a covering of blood also.
A second copper allegedly smashed a phone of another person that was filming what had they had just witnessed.

It is assumed that the young lad was taken to hospital, however nothing has been revealed as of yet about his condition from the after effects of getting a baton to the head.
Warren Wright said on Facebook: I saw the whole i incident, the copper must have run 50 yards and had time to think about the situation. He could have quite easily hit him below the head, that was calculated, he knew exactly what he was doing. I insisted to another copper that i wanted to report an assult and got told to go away. PC 3139 will get away with it, SYP corrupt to the core.

The social media post captured the attention of thousands of users, who quickly shared it for everyone to see in the hope that a punishment would be dished out by the police.
An officer was also injured in the incident, with both being taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A full investigation would take place to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
Chief Superintendent and Match Commander Sarah Poolman, said: “Yesterday, Saturday 8 February, following the Barnsley V Sheffield Wednesday match our officers responded to disorder outside the transport interchange.
“A full, open investigation, including extended video footage, will take place to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the actions which led to a 16-year-old boy sustaining a head injury from an officer’s baton, and an officer being assaulted, sustaining injuries to his stomach and head.
“The 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital by ambulance. The police officer also attended hospital. Both of their injuries are not life-threatening.
“A 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency services worker. He has been released under investigation.
“If you witnessed the incident or have any video footage, please contact 101 quoting incident 232 of February 2020.”
Now you might want to look away for this photo of the injury that the boy suffered…

It comes just hours after another police officer could be seen beating a fan on the ground, this time after Preston’s win against Wigan, see more on that by clicking HERE.
As mentioned, a huge amount gave their reaction to a fan left bloodied by police after getting baton to the head, see what they had to say about it…
Good work to whoever filmed this … @syptweet the public would preferred you dealt with grooming gangs like this rather than ignore them – instead an officer appears to have done this to a poor young lad. How concerning @policecorrupt

‘He’s injured, he’s injured’ yeah no s**t love your colleague has just wiped him out! Useless!

— Ben Burkinshaw ⚔ (@sufcben) February 8, 2020
exactly a hit to head at that force with a baton has got to do some serious damage! fuckin shocking they’re meant to protect the public, whatever’s gone off it looked like the lad were walking off so absolutely no need to attack him
— Caitlin (@caitlindenton01) February 8, 2020
That is pure and simple GBH, putting someone in a uniform does not give them the right to do that. He literally could have killed that young lad. We have a lot of good and brave officers, this officer is cowardly and should be sacked, that lad posed no threat to deserve that.
— Alex (@AlexanderSwfc) February 8, 2020
seriously hope this lad is alright, the officer will lose his job and probably be punished in court. There’s no way he can justify that.
— Rhys Grainge (@rhys_grainge) February 8, 2020
I hope that police officer is struck off and is waving goodbye to his pension Monday morning
— mark (@whymarkwhynot) February 8, 2020
The correct procedure as far as I am aware is behind the knees to bring them down not going running in with baton flying at height out of order
— Jim Hawkins?? (@jhawks200) February 8, 2020
This is horrific! the head is a red zone in baton training aka fatal. You are taught to go from green(muscle), amber(bone/joints) to red(head/chest etc) zones. that officer struck red 1st,he has to be disciplined!!!
— ?❤Hoesephinè Pinelope❤? (@Josephine_KK) February 8, 2020
I'd like to say I can't believe a copper would do that to a kid but, it is SYP so no surprise.
— Steve1867 (@Sevenhillssteve) February 8, 2020
Jesus could have killed him, absolute disgrace

Absolutely pathetic. Lucky this officer had the strength of a very small child or otherwise it could have been game over for the teenager. This public servant not only should be sacked for this (as a hit to the leg would’ve been just as nullifying) but he should also go to prison for child abuse.

Nothing surprises me anymore with the behaviour of SYP. They reckon they’re trying to win back trust after the disgraceful incidents of the last few decades but then sunk to this barbaric level. I could write a book on their double standards across so many areas. So many bad apples that we can no longer tell our children and grand children to trust a policeman.

Syp are nothing but thugs proved it in the miners strike thet are liars proved it at Hillsborough and in the Rotherham grooming scandal another force should take over sack the lot of them and retrain new personnel Not Fit For Purpose
