Surprising details have emerged, claiming that two Chelsea players ended up “fighting in training” before Frank Lampard’s sacking.
The Stamford Bridge outfit gave him the boot on Monday morning, taking into account a poor run of form of late despite an impressive start.
His last league game in charge was a 2-0 defeat away to Leicester, though his departure came less than 24 hours after his side beat Luton Town in the FA Cup Fourth Round.
Chelsea players were told not to report to the training ground until Monday afternoon, as a meeting took place in the morning, with Lampard being told he was to get be got rid of.
Reports claim that he was brutally locked out of the training ground with the club refused him entry to say goodbye to his squad.
🗣 “Frank hasn’t been allowed to the training ground this morning or this afternoon to say his goodbyes.”

The Telegraph state that Antonio Rudiger clashed with club captain Cesar Azpilicueta on numerous occasions at Chelsea’s Cobham training base.
Tensions have been high in the camp for sometime now it would seem and Azpilicueta tried to do his best in easing it, making it a calmer session among players.
However Rudiger decided to have none of it, getting angry and clashed with the club captain.
The same report adds that younger academy players, who had been thriving thanks to Frank Lampard choosing to use them, complained about the way they had been treated by more experienced teammates who were unhappy with their current roles.
Azpilicueta tried to bring order to the Chelsea dressing room but his work was made harder with Marcos Alonso and Jorginho also allegedly causing issues in the dressing room.
The team now prepare for their next Premier League fixture, a home game against Wolves on Wednesday, with so much in the air. Will the youngsters get swapped for the more out of favour players?
Fans are already rather gutted at the Blues legend in Lampard getting axed after 18 months in charge, and now with news that the two players “fighting in training” has only caused more frustration with the Chelsea fanbase.
His biggest achievement is announcing Havertz. Get him gone ffs

I’d love nothing more than for Chelsea to terminate the contract of @ToniRuediger. Man walking like he’s prime John Terry turning on managers, an average player who shouldn’t even be at the club. It’d be sweet justice if he didn’t see Tuchel take a training session.#RudigerOut

Rudiger arguing with Azpi is something I hate, you should respect the most senior members in the squad when you are around them, we are supposed to be sticking together not causing chaos.
I’m concerned about some of the squad members we have at this club. pic.twitter.com/jnmuFUyFKl

Rudiger being booed every time he gets the ball once the fans are allowed back. It’s all I ask.

Rudiger is really pissing me off, has no right to be saying anything after his performance

On the same day details emerge on the two Chelsea players fighting in training, the club confirmed the sacking of Lampard in a gracious statement on Monday, saying: “This has been a very difficult decision, and not one that the owner and the Board have taken lightly.
“We are grateful to Frank for what he has achieved in his time as Head Coach of the Club.
“I would like to thank Frank for his work as head coach and wish him every success in the future.
“He is an important icon of this great club and his status here remains undiminished.”
And Lampard himself said: “It has been a huge privilege and an honour to manage Chelsea, a club that has been a big part of my life for so long.
“Firstly, I would like to thank the fans for the incredible support that I have received over the last 18 months. I hope they know what that means to me.
“When I took on this role I understood the challenges that lay ahead in a difficult time for the football club.
“I am proud of the achievements that we made, and I am proud of the academy players that have made their step into the first team and performed so well. They are the future of the club.
“I am disappointed not to have had the time this season to take the club forward and bring it to the next level.
“I want to thank Mr Abramovich, the board, players, my coaching team and everyone at the club for their hard work and dedication, especially in these unprecedented and challenging times.”
Former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is expected to replace Lampard with claims the new man could be on the bench ready for the next game.
He will not be exempt from coronavirus quarantine and if Tuchel tests negative on entry to the UK and then negative again in order to enter a Premier League club’s bubble, he will be allowed an exemption by the FA for attending matches and training.
He will still have to serve a quarantine period outside of those environments, which will last five days.
