A certain Man City player has got himself in trouble with the police after getting caught out whilst driving around the streets of Cheshire.
Whilst his club are having a ball running away with the league, Benjamin Mendy has got himself into hot water once again and it’s becoming at an alarming rate within the last few months.
Reports claim that he has been fined £1,000 after driving without insurance or a licence when police officers pulling him over in his £475,000 Lamborghini.
The £52m rated defender saw his flash white car seized as he was unable to provide the correct paperwork.
His SVJ supercar, which can impressively go from 0 to 60mph in under three seconds, was later impounded.
Mendy was stopped in the early hours on November the 15th – at 5am to be exact – in Prestbury based in Cheshire.
Cheshire Police said: “A 26-year-old man from Prestbury submitted a guilty plea online to driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
“The man was subsequently fined £880, ordered to pay £88 victims surcharge, £90 costs, and endorsed with six penalty points on his licence.”
Mendy, who has been a Manchester City player since 2017, bought the vehicle in France and was pictured last summer driving it in Cannes, dubbed the ‘millionaire’s playground’ .
The Sky Blues revealed that they were disappointed in Mendy hosting a new year party for mates outside his bubble.
The 26 year old footballer flouted rules again when he ignored rules by flying a girl in from Greece for a four-day romp.
He gained the affection of Claudia Marino on social media then flew her from Athens to his £5million home based in Cheshire from the 29th of June.
Benjamin Mendy also requested for a modelling agent to send girls from London to visit him in Cheshire. Mendy declared he wanted a “big bum Latina” in one message, however there is no suggestion the agent sent any girls.
The Government had ordered UK arrivals from June 6 to self-isolate for 14 days or face a fine.
When the 22 year old female sent him a screenshot of the strict measures alongside a sad emoji, Mendy replied: “U stay in my house.
“It’s ok they don’t gonna check.”
Claudia admitted she had been up for having some fun and said they romped.
She added: “I’m not naive and I know what footballers are like but I thought it would be an experience.
“He was single so I wasn’t hurting anybody.
“We had some drinks and had a laugh. One day he took me to Leeds where he saw his dentist.”
Claudia then got the plane back on the 2nd of July and got a message from Mendy telling her to delete an Instagram video showing her inside his house.
Mendy has already apologised for his new year do and now it looks likely he might have to do it again. Just like Kyle Walker for having a Christmas party last year, you can read more on that HERE.
Despite the club being miffed off with him, manager Pep Guardiola still chose to name Mendy as a substitute for the win at Chelsea, which put City 5th in the Premier League table, and then launched a passionate defence, saying: “Benjamin already had Covid in the past, he has been tested every day like all the other players.
“He has explained, he knows what he has done and he will learn in the future. He is part of the group, he is one of the guys who is much beloved in our group.
“In the stands today he was the most active player. He is a special guy for us and has an incredible heart. I would like to see how many people will now judge him and see if they have the good intentions that he has.
“But he has to understand some things. I would like to know how many people did this on New Year’s Eve, but normally in this society we judge others when first we should judge ourselves.
“I’m not justifying it, he broke the rules. But don’t give too many lessons to others.”
The 26 year old was last in action for City on the 10th of February in their 3-1 win against Swansea City in the FA Cup Fifth Round.
His last goal for his club came in a 5-0 thrashing at home to Burnley in the Premier League back in November 2020. That’s his only goal for the campaign in the 12 games he’s played so far.
