Macclesfield complete signing of ex-Everton, Hull, Cardiff, Burton and Morecambe player

Macclesfield complete the signing of ex-Everton, Hull, Cardiff, Huddersfield, Burton, Morecambe player Oumar Niasse having trained for them.

The former Premier League striker was training with them – with a view to signing him on a free – and it seems that he’s impressed enough to stay on.

He will now be tasked to use his experience to not only help the current squad, but also try and help them win promotion again this season, with the club already having back-to-back promotions since starting out in the North West Counties Premier Division in 2020.

It was also reported recently that ex-Newcastle United player Papiss Cisse had been training with Macclesfield, whether he stays permanently remains to be seen.

CLUB STATEMENT:

Macclesfield FC are delighted to have agreed terms to the signing of former Everton and Hull City striker Oumar Niasse on a short term deal subject to league approval.

The former Senegalese International provides a real threat with his pace and power and adds real quality to Alex Bruce’s squad.
