Macclesfield make shock moves as two ex-Premier League players in Papiss Cisse and Oumar Niasse reportedly train with them.
38 year old forward Papiss Cisse also has a view to a permanent deal to join the Silkmen, who sit 6th in the Northern Premier League Premier Division with 26 points from 15 games played.
Cisee is a free agent having left Ligue 2 outfit Amiens at the end of last summer, where he had been their top scorer with 12 goals, but is now thought to be living nearby 7th tier Macclesfield.
Papiss Cissé has been training with Macclesfield FC and the non-league club could sign the 38-year-old.

In his time with Newcastle, he netted 44 times, across five season, including a memorable strike against Chelsea in 2012.
He departed the Magpies in 2016, going on to have spells with the likes of Shandong Taishan in Chinese Super League and in Turkey with Fenerbahce, Alanyaspor and Rizespor.
He now embarks on a new chapter in his career with Macclesfield, who started in the North West Counties Premier Division back in 2020, but are hoping to get promoted to the National League North.
In a video uploaded by Sky Sports on Monday, amid the news, Cisse says: “The next step, I want to continue. I want to continue to play.
“I don’t know where and when, but honestly, in my body and how I’m training, I feel like, please continue play. I want to play when people, they seem to say, you know, I’ll more playing because you can still do it.
“But I don’t know when and where, but I’m still waiting for something. I hope soon the door going to be open.”
“In my body and how I’m training, I feel like ‘Papiss is going to play!'”
