Huddersfield’s Karlan Grant reveals vile messages sent to him after Charlton game

Huddersfield Town striker Karlan Grant reveals the vile messages sent to him after winning at former club Charlton on Tuesday night.

He expressed his anger by sharing a screenshot of the disgusting abuse that he received by what appears to be young troll who supports the Addicks.

Grant came up through the youth ranks at Charlton and then left for the Terriers for a fee of £2m move back in January.

Majority of those inside the Valley were fine with his first return since leaving them, however, a small group behind one of the goals reportedly booed every touch he made and sang which is beign described an ‘extremely off-colour song’ about when Grant was arrest on suspicion of a privacy offence in Spain last summer, which he was cleared for.

After the game, Grant was sent an abusive message by harryevans191 via his Instagram account.

It read: “You are shit you should of stayed at Charlton.

“Fuck off you fucking rapist you cunt hope you fucking die on the way home you fucking cunt.”

Grant tweeted: “Not one to look into things like this. But really? Is this what a game of sport is doing to people… Given them the right to say things like this? Disappointed as I spent 10 good years at Charlton. Should be ashamed!”

As of writing this article 24 hours after the abuse was sent, there has no reports that the fan has been banned from matches or talked to by the police.

As Karlan Grant reveals the vile messages received by Charlton fan Harry Evans, fans took to slam the culprit, hope he was banned and offered sympathy with the Huddersfield player – see those tweets on the next page.
