VIDEO: Jordan Pickford mugs off taunting fan after Everton jibe at Brook vs Khan fight

Jordan Pickford mugs off a taunting fan after having an Everton relegation jibe aimed at him during the Kell Brook vs Amir Khan fight.

The Toffees have had a disappointing season, made worse with the 2-0 defeat at Southampton on Saturday, which meant a 13th league defeat of the term.

Everton aren’t safe from the drop as they currently find themselves in 16th place and just four points above safety.

And at the Kell Brook vs Amir Khan fight on Saturday night, one fan, who would suggest to be a Liverpool fan, was keen to tell Pickford how bad his club are.

The lad said: “Yes Jordan! Everton getting relegated or what?”

Pickford then asked the fan to repeat himself twice more before replying back: “Parrot.”

Pickford dealt with the situation in a rather clam manner but sadly being goaded in public by fans is something he’s had to get used to in the last few years – made easier with the goals he concedes and the form of Everton.

The Sunderland-born keeper was alleged to have been involved in a a fight which broke out at the Beggar’s Bridge pub in South Tyneside, after Pickford was mocked. See more in that HERE.

He was however praised for not rising up to the incident and letting his mates deal with it, by talkSPORT hosts Laura Woods and Darren Bent, who revealed the bad experiences they’ve had with members of the public.

Speaking about an incident during his days at Fulham, in light of the Pickford news of late, Bent reflected and told talkSPORT: “I’ve gone in the car park, I’ve got my kids in the back.

“I’ve never hid the fact that things didn’t go well for me at Fulham. There were little kids waiting by the car park, I’ve put the window down to sign autographs.

“There were two guys in the background mumbling stuff under their breath, they came to the window and I thought they wanted a picture.

“They said something quite derogatory, I said something back, they said something again.

“My kids are in the back and this is probably my own fault as well, but my friend was also in the car.

“I pulled away and they screamed something, so I stopped the car and got out. The moment I got out of the car, I thought, ‘Why am I getting out of the car? My kids are in the car’.

“And the second I did it, one of his friends got his camera phone out, waiting for something to happen.

“I got back in the car and drove off.”

Late last year, Laura Woods and Gabby Agbonlahor hit back at critics against the Everton goalkeeper.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Woods and Agbonlahor have criticised those that have taken aim at Pickford for that as well as his off-field antics.

“Jordan Pickford particularly, as a lot of footballers do, has had a lot of off-field attention that he’s not wanted when he’s been out drinking with his mates,” Woods said.

“I always remember there was that one where he was getting filmed by somebody, which I think’s really disgusting. Just leave him alone, let them enjoy themselves and have a drink or whatever. He also had that clash with Virgil van Dijk that got him a lot of negativity, I think he got death threats for that one too.”

Agbonlahor said: “I do feel sorry for him, especially with the van Dijk incident because that must have been horrible for him.

“Social media nowadays, imagine the stick he was getting, the dm’s he was getting, the tweets. I feel sorry for him but you’ve got to give him credit, he’s got through it and his performances have been outstanding from there.”
