Fan footage of Antonio Conte’s wild celebrations as Tottenham score late winner at Man City

Fan footage of Antonio Conte’s wild celebrations as Tottenham score a late winner at Man City has gone viral over the weekend.

The Spurs boss went absolutely berserk when watching his impressive side score to make it 3-2 against the current Premier League holders.

The Italian tactician is known for being rather animated on the touchline, and he took it to new extremes with his celebrations of this dramatic late goal…

Harry Kane’s stoppage-time goal gave Tottenham a stunning victory over the league leaders Manchester City in a chaotic but thrilling finale at Etihad Stadium.

City thought they had rescued a point moments earlier when Riyad Mahrez converted from a spot kick awarded after a VAR review, but there was another twist to come and Kane, predictably, provided it.

The Spurs striker showed what City were missing, rising highest to nod home Dejan Kulusevski’s cross in the 95th minute and spark wild celebrations from the travelling fans in what has to be one of the best games of the season so far.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola: “They are clinical. They have Kane and Son and Kulusevski. Their crosses we could not defend. We didn’t have the momentum. We didn’t need to lose a game already to know how hard it is [to win the league]. There are many, many games still to play.

“We defended the third goal badly at the back post. I said two weeks ago that we had to win a lot of points so we knew it. Teams are fighting for the Europa League, Champions League, against relegation so every game is going to be a battle.

“Since October, we hadn’t lost in the league so we know how hard that is. We knew they had a fantastic manager and after three defeats they would be there. In general, we controlled the game in the stats but we could not win.”

When asked about Kane, Guardiola added: “It never was an option and everyone knows this so forget. It’s in the past. It’s not necessary for him to show today the goals he scored and his quality with the ball. Everyone knows it.”

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte: “This is a process, we are working very hard to improve aspect. This type of game gives us confidence. First of all I hate to lose. Our reaction was important.

“The Premier League is very difficult. Every game you have to fight a lot. We are continuing to improve everything and every level we work very hard. Harry [Kane] is for sure an important player for us. Today our strikers played very well. Harry was very good at keeping the ball.

“I think the first goal was great because this goal is about our job and our work that we are doing every day. Only one win is not good enough. Don’t forget we are coming off three losses. But a win against Manchester City is very good.

“We have a lot of space for improvement. This is one of the hardest working teams I have managed in my career.”

Carragher said of Kane’s display: “That was one of the best performances I’ve seen this season, it really was. It was a privilege to watch.

“What made it so special was that Kane didn’t get a lot of the ball, but when it came into him, everything he did was pure class.

“Kane is one of the best passers of the ball in the Premier League, he’s not far behind [Kevin] De Bruyne.”

Fellow Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness was also full of praise for Kane.

“Harry Kane was fantastic,” he said. “He’s put himself in the shop window again. Not just his goals but his general play.

“He was a real problem. He gets over the ball, he’s got the technique and the vision to see things, and he can deliver on what he sees.

“Some of his passing today was an absolute delight, as good as it gets.”

Following Kane’s match-winning display on Saturday night, Guardiola was asked about his admiration for the 28-year-old: “It never was an option and everyone knows this so forget [it]. It’s in the past.

“It’s not necessary for him to show today the goals he scored and his quality with the ball. Everyone knows it.”

Conte said of Kane: “We are talking about a world-class striker. He’s working very well and he’s also improving his physical aspects.

“I’m working with him to become a point of reference for us. In the past, he’s liked to go outside the box and he’s also very good at this.”

Speaking to Sky Sports after the win, Kane said: “It was a crazy game. We worked so hard for so long. We were 2-1 ahead for such a long time in the second half.

“Then to see the penalty awarded was so heart-breaking, but credit to the boys for creating another chance at the end.

“For me it was [about ending] three losses in a row and we had to find a way of getting our season back on track. To get the result we did was really, really special.

“The boys worked their socks off today. To get the goals was obviously nice. We were great from Hugo [Lloris] all the way through.

“We have high standards of ourselves and we’ve got ourselves in a position where we can really fight for the top four.

“Football’s about bouncing back. We can’t get too high or too low. The performance today shows we’re fighting to the end. Hopefully we can use it as momentum going forward.

“We probably have to learn how to be more consistent in a long season to be in the top four.

“We’ve got Burnley in midweek – they’re fighting for their lives so we know it’ll be a tough one.”
