Halifax slammed by fans after failing to explain why they cancelled friendly at late notice

After learning that FC Halifax Town’s pre-season friendly against Frickley Athletic planned for Tuesday had been called off on Saturday, fans took to slam the club, many wanting clarification and some feeling they low optimism for the new season ahead with the lack of players the squad had…

I don’t think I’ve ever been less optimistic going into a new season.

Can the club give some clarification on this please, very unprofessional.

I might as well fucking play and I have a dislocated knee sort it out ?

We are becoming a laughing stock…sort it out

@FCHTOnline needs to give an explanation for this ASAP. I bought my season ticket in good faith months ago and so far, feel that the club isn’t doing enough to reward the loyalty of its supporters.

Due to @FCHTOnline not been able to raise a team I bet

@BenOrley: @FCHTOnline why haven’t you given us any reasons why, this is insult to us fans and is an embarrassment!

@jon_maude: At a time like this what is the point in having a youth setup if they’re never given a chance? Might as well scrap it and use that money on the first team

@krisreidy_: It’s beyond embarrassing now

Nwrighty18: This is getting so tinpot its embarrassing someone needs to come out and make a statement to clarify whats going on. Time to relive the manager of his duties if his incapable of getting a squad together.

SimonTandy1: Wow, absolutely lost for words, not the best way to inspire potential season ticket buyers. Sort it out.

@WilliamBurnet91: And we all know why, we’re a joke. Sort it out!

RossHeslop91: Shouldn’t have postponed it, I’d have played. I’m shit, fat and can’t run, but at least I’m an actual body. Actually turning into such an embarrassment of a summer now. Sort it out
