FC Halifax Town have caused their fans to be frustrated after they announced that they have had to cancel one of their friendlies at late notice.
The Shaymen were planned to be taking on Frickley Athletic later tonight but they revealed to their supporters at nearly 9pm on Saturday night that it wouldn’t be going ahead.

There was and still is no explanation for why it has been called off, though many fans are assuming that the National League side don’t have enough players to play the match.
Opponents Frickley Athletic wrote on Twitter: “Unfortunately @FCHalifaxTown @FCHTOnline have postponed their trip to Frickley on Tuesday at 6pm this evening. A bit late in the day, but we have a fantastic replacement organised. There have been some great games against them the past few seasons. Announced in the morning ⚽️” – which turned out to be Maltby Main.
Since Halifax made the call, they have signed three players which are 24 year old forward Tobi Sho-Silva on a one year deal from Dover Athletic, 19 year old goalkeeper Will Appleyard from Stevenage and 24 year old wide man Jamie Allen from Dover Athletic.
After learning that Halifax’s pre-season friendly against Frickley had been called off, fans took to slam the club, many wanting clarification and some feeling they low optimism for the new season ahead with the lack of players the squad had – check out those tweets on the next page.
