FourFourTwo predicts the 2024/25 Championship table

Check out more of FourFourTwo’s predicted Championship table for 2024/25 below…

8) HULL

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 8th place for the 2024/25 campaign.

24/25 FFT VERDICT: Tim Walter has mixed reviews, but, depending who remains, the squad should have the ability to reach the playoffs. Alfie Jones and Regan Slater will provide a gritty base to allow the likes of gifted leftie Abdulkadir Omur to thrive, even with Jaden Philogene going.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 13th place for the 2023/24 Championship campaign – instead they finished 7th.

23/24 FFT VERDICT: With just six defeats in 28 from Liam Rosenior’s appointment, and some of those without a striker, hopes are high on Humberside. Progress is likely, though it might be modest if last year’s goalscoring troubles persist. If so, will Rosenior be given the time he deserves?

7) NORWICH

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 7th place for the 2024/25 campaign.

24/25 FFT VERDICT: Norwich target stylistic evolution under Johannes Hoff Thorup, and signing Panamanian defender Jose Cordoba from Bulgaria’s Levski Sofia points to an exotic transfer strategy. But with uncertainty over their headline performers, will it all come together for the Hoff?

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 12th place for the 2023/24 Championship campaign – instead they finished 6th.

23/24 FFT VERDICT: The Canaries look mentally drained and need an overhaul, yet the kind required isn’t feasible after a slump to 13th. At least new/old faces Ashley Barnes and Shane Duffy will bring experience, while Jack Stacey is a neat pick-up and Gabriel Sara will provide individual quality again.

6) WEST BROM

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 6th place for the 2024/25 campaign.

24/25 FFT VERDICT: Shilen Patel’s takeover meant more to most Albion fans than going up under previous ownership would’ve done. That feelgood factor, added to the dependability of midfielder Okay Yokuslu and Alex Mowatt, can ensure a top six finish under their Premier League calibre coach.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 8th place for the 2023/24 Championship campaign – instead they finished 5th.

23/24 FFT VERDICT: To implement his direct, extreme high-pressing methods, without the advantage he had at Barnsley of inheriting a group who’d already worked towards that style, Valerien Ismael needs time. West Brom allowed him all of six months. How long will he be given at Watford…?

5) COVENTRY

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 5th place for the 2024/25 campaign.

24/25 FFT VERDICT: Jack Rudoni and Ephron Mason-Clark are two excellent additions to a high energy group, while Milan van Ewijk, Josh Eccles and Ellis Simms will only get better for another year under the reliable Robins. The Sky Blues have a great chance of returning to the top six.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 10th place for the 2023/24 Championship campaign – instead they finished 9th.

23/24 FFT VERDICT: Having progressed in each of Mark Robins’ seasons during his second spell, Cov want to challenge again under new ownership, they signed left back Jay Dasilva just three days after losing at Wembley. But given how they relied on key individuals, departures could set them back.

4) MIDDLESBROUGH

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 4th place for the 2024/25 campaign.

24/25 FFT VERDICT: Hindered by constant player unavailability, Michael Carrick’s side finished four points off the top six. Greater squad stability would help Boro to contend, as would Emmanuel Latte Lath – who hit 11 goals from March onwards – taking his sumptuous form into 2024-25

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 2nd place for the 2023/24 Championship campaign – instead they finished 8th.

23/24 FFT VERDICT: If taking Boro from 21st to 4th with an attractive style while nurturing the young Hayden Hackney, gives Michael Carrick hubris after his first six months as a manager, he can remind himself that they leaked 35 goals in 30 games. Fix that, replace key loanees, and promotion is his.

3) LUTON

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 3rd place for the 2024/25 campaign.

24/25 FFT VERDICT: A superbly run club with a talented manager, Luton will look well placed to bounce back. The spine of Teden Mengi, Marvelous Nakamba and Carlton Morris will be crucial, while the incoming Shandon Baptiste could light things up if he can recover from previous injury woes.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 20th place for the 2023/24 Premier League campaign – instead they finished 18th.

23/24 FFT VERDICT: They will fight, shock a few teams and maybe pin this up in the dressing room, but survival would be an amazing feat..

2) BURNLEY

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 2nd place and automatically promoted for the 2024/25 campaign.

24/25 FFT VERDICT: Having guided Fulham and Bournemouth to instant Premier League returns, Scott Parker is out to repeat the trick at Turf Moor. With Dutch full back Shurandy Sambo joining a lavisgly deep and vastly talented squad, Parker’s promotion hat-trick could be on…

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 13th place for the 2023/24 Premier League campaign – instead they finished 19th.

23/24 FFT VERDICT: Burnley should take an unsuspecting league by surprise, even if its bloated middle might bar entry to the top half.

1) LEEDS

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish as the champions for the 2024/25 campaign.

24/25 FFT VERDICT: A tight rearguard, a top defender and midfielder in Ethan Ampadu, and an awesome foursome in attack that young Mateo Joseph may enter – add more structural creativity with less onus on star players balling out, and the results could be ominous for the rest.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 7th place for the 2023/24 Championship campaign – instead they finished 3rd and lost in the playoff final.

23/24 FFT VERDICT: As the takeover dragged on, player turnover happened later than was optimal, and there’s no shortage of players at Leeds eyeing up a move to preserve an international career. Bouncing straight back up is a tall order during edgy times at Elland Road, even with talent in this side.
