FourFourTwo predicts the 2023/24 Championship table

Check out more of FourFourTwo’s predicted Championship table for 2023/24 below…

8) WEST BROM

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 8th place for the 2023/24 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: Amid off-field instability, the key to success will be Carlos Corberan, who oversaw nine wins in 10 upon his arrival before injuries set things back. Unusually for the Baggies, a playoff place appears to be the best hope and depending on their finances, even that may be tricky.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 5th place for the 2022/23 Championship campaign – instead they finish 9th.

7) LEEDS

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 7th place (just missing out on playoffs) for the 2023/24 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: As the takeover dragged on, player turnover happened later than was optimal, and there’s no shortage of players at Leeds eyeing up a move to preserve an international career. Bouncing straight back up is a tall order during edgy times at Elland Road, even with talent in this side.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 17th place for the 2022/23 Premier League campaign – instead they finish 19th.

6) BLACKBURN

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 6th place (playoffs) for the 2023/24 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: Blackburn have learned to recruit smartly for a clear style, and they are superbly coached by Jon Dahl Tomasson. If Niall Ennis settles in quickly up top and Adam Wharton has the season that natives hope he will, then that small step into the top six looks tantalizingly close.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 15th place for the 2022/23 Championship campaign – instead they finish 7th.

5) IPSWICH

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 5th place (playoffs) for the 2023/24 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: This is an exciting time to be an Ipswich fan. A top half finish would be satisfactory, but if League One stars Conor Chaplin, Leif Davis and new signing Jack Taylor can step up as expected, Kieran McKenna’s ambitious Tractor Boys could take the league by storm…

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 2nd place for the 2022/23 League One campaign – and that they got correct.

4) SUNDERLAND

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 4th place (playoffs) for the 2023/24 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: Sunderland shone in their first season back, making the playoffs despite absentees up top and in defence, demonstrating that this young squad is tough as well as talented. Keep everyone fit – Ross Stewart especially – and they could be a force to be reckoned with.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 16th place for the 2022/23 Championship campaign – instead they finish 6th.

3) SOUTHAMPTON

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 3rd place (playoffs) for the 2023/24 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: Russell Martin wants his Saints side to model his keep-ball outfits at MK Dons and Swansea, but with greater efficiency in both boxes. He has the coaching nous and quality to deliver, and technical ability in the squad here, but he hasn’t won promotion as a manager – yet…

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 15th place for the 2022/23 Premier League campaign – instead they finish 20th.

2) MIDDLESBROUGH

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 2nd place (automatic promotion) for the 2023/24 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: If taking Boro from 21st to 4th with an attractive style while nurturing the young Hayden Hackney, gives Michael Carrick hubris after his first six months as a manager, he can remind himself that they leaked 35 goals in 30 games. Fix that, replace key loanees, and promotion is his.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 4th place for the 2022/23 Championship campaign – instead they finish 1st.

1) LEICESTER

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 1st place (champions) for the 2023/24 campaign.

FFT VERDICT: Even after releasing for free players who’d cost them a total of £100m to buy, Leicester’s squad is packed with quality. Others will follow Youri Tielemans out of the door but they are recruiting ambitiously, and if Enzo Maresca has learned anything from Pep Guardiola, glory awaits.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 8th place for the 2022/23 Premier League campaign – instead they finish 18th.
