Check out more of FourFourTwo’s predicted League One table for 2022/23 below…
16) BRISTOL ROVERS
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Gas to finish in 16th place for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: The Gas must adjust to the third tier without a loanee so crucial in getting them there: attacking midfielder Elliot Anderson. With Evans as well as James Connolly staying on, though, and James Gibbons poached from Port Vale, survival looks likely for Barton.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 4th place for the 2021/22 League Two campaign – instead they finished 3rd.

15) CAMBRIDGE
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the U’s to finish in 15th place for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: No Wes Hoolahan, but much of the crop that delivered Cambridge’s highest finish in 28 years remains, with Bolton-bound Jack Iredale the notable exception. Another finish in mid-table is achievable: Adam May inked a new deal to join solid pros in Williams and Paul Digby.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 23rd place for the 2021/22 League One campaign – instead they finished 14th.

14) ACCRINGTON
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Accrington Stanley to finish in 14th place for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: Stanley scored 22 set pieces goals last season, so 6ft 5in centre back Sykes will be missed. Coleman’s side must re-organise after letting in 80 goals, but another mid-table finish is possible if Brackley forward Lowe steps up to the place, as well as talented young midfielder Leigh.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 18th place for the 2021/22 League One campaign – instead they finished 12th.

13) LINCOLN
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Imps to finish in 13th place for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: Following six years that have been largely exhilarating for Lincoln, the five year contract they’ve handed to new head coach Kennedy – as well as some no-frills recruitment – suggests they’re keen to settle down. The Imps are realistic and will concentrate on steady growth.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 4th place for the 2021/22 League One campaign – instead they finished 17th.

12) DERBY
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Rams to finish in 12th place for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: After a turbulent summer, Derby’s new owner must stabilise matters off the field while interim manager Liam Rosenior does the same on it. An instant return is unrealistic due to inevitably delayed activity, so a top half finish represents Phase One for the latest Rams rebuild.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 24th place for the 2021/22 Championship campaign – instead they finished 23rd.

11) CHARLTON
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Addicks to finish in 11th place for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: Owner Thomas Sandgaard wants a promotion push, but a squad rebuild is required. It may be hard for manager Garner to honour his chairman’s ambition in his first season, even with the additions of goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott and centre back Eoghan O’Connell.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 3rd place for the 2021/22 League One campaign – instead they finished 13th.

10) PLYMOUTH
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Pilgrims to finish in 10th place for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: After Lowe left for Preston, the best appointment for Argyle proved to be the one closest to home. A top shot-stopper, a steadfast defence, an energetic midfield and excellent strikers: these are exciting times for Schumacher’s smooth-passing side if they can repeat last year.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 13th place for the 2021/22 League One campaign – instead they finished 7th.

9) WYCOMBE
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Chairboys to finish in 9th place for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: Ainsworth’s new deal shows his commitment to pulling off a third consecutive top six finish. There’s a template – the previous two both came with league-low possession of 44 per cent – but he must dilute Wycombe’s experience with youth to offset any incremental decline.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 5th place for the 2021/22 League One campaign – instead they finished 6th.
