Have a look at who they thought would finish from 24th to 1st below, some will surprise, others not so…
24) CHELTENHAM
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Robins to finish in 24th place (relegated) for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: With legendary manager Duff departing, plus key man such as Leicester loanee Callum Wright, this could be a gruelling campaign. New boss Elliott is popular, but it will be hard to make 2022-23 the continuation of an era and not the end of one. Tough times are ahead.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 21st place for the 2021/22 League One campaign – instead they finished 15th.
23) PORT VALE
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Valiants to finish in 23rd place (relegated) for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: Vale’s front-foot 3-5-2 sustained pressure superbly in League Two, but the defence isn’t the quickest. While Wilson and Jamie Proctor might cause damage at one end, Clarke side’s could get picked off at the other by better opponents who can be more ruthless on the break.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 11th place for the 2021/22 League Two campaign – instead they finished 5th.

22) FLEETWOOD
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Cod Army to finish in 22nd place (relegated) for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: Brown’s reputation is no guarantee of managerial success, and the fiery Scot inherits some exuberant talents and seasoned pros but few peak-age performers. Josh Vela, Brendan Wiredu and other arrivals need to have an impacts, because 40 points can’t secure safety again.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 17th place for the 2021/22 League One campaign – instead they finished 20th.

21) MORECAMBE
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Shrimps to finish in 21st place (relegated) for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: With a full house in many of their home games and a siege mentality cultivated by Adams, Morecambe will make a real fight of extending their League One adventure into a third season. In the end, they might lack the requisite quality – but it” be a wild ride either way.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 24th place for the 2021/22 League One campaign – instead they finished 19th.

20) FOREST GREEN
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Forest Green Rovers to finish in 20th place for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: The League Two title winners were prepared to lose key men, but any side would miss their manager and two star players (Kane Wilson and Ebou Adams). Hughes’ continuity is vital: Burchnall, right back Corey O’Keeffe and midfielder Armani Little are all decent replacements.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 3rd place for the 2021/22 League Two campaign – instead they finished 1st.

19) EXETER
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Grecians to finish in 19th place for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: After promotion, Exeter’s summer remit has been retaining their existing assets more than adding new ones. The club are one of the country’s best run outfits and they can attain League One sustainability – but a bumpy debut campaign could come first.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 5th place for the 2021/22 League Two campaign – instead they finished 2nd.

18) SHREWSBURY
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Shrewsbury Town to finish in 18th place for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: Clearly big Coventry fans, Shrews have bought Jordan Shipley and added Julien Dacosta on loan, also signing Cov academy midfielder Tom Bayliss from Preston. Salop’s strikers did enough last season to suggest this new creativity will aid their output, but depth is lacking.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 19th place for the 2021/22 League One campaign – instead they finished 18th.

17) BURTON
The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted the Brewers to finish in 17th place for the 2022/23 campaign.
FFT VERDICT: Brayford staying helps Burton’s defensive cause but, often, only competence at the basics was required to keep the Brewers at bay last season. Hasselbaink’s side must be more inventive in open play if they are to avoid getting dragged into a relegation scrap.
The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 14th place for the 2021/22 League One campaign – instead they finished 16th.
