Fans have been left laughing at Gabby Agbonlahor’s fate-tempting analysis just before West Ham’s opener live on Monday night.
The former footballer was brought in by Sky Sports News to report on the game, which saw the Hammers go up to fifth in the Premier League table with a 2-1 win.
However when the first West Ham goal went in thanks to Angelo Ogbonna after just two minutes, viewers were left howling with laughter and took to mock Gabby Agbonlahor for bigging up Villa, only to be cut short so that he could report on the goal.

You can hear the presenter in the studio ask Gabby about the game, saying if he was ‘hoping for big things this evening’ for his former club Villa.
Gabby responds: ” Yeah I think they do, look it’s like I said earlier, they won…”
And that’s where he cuts his sentence short, before West Ham make it 1-0 and Gabby says disappointingly “Oh, and there’s a goal, West Ham.” A sudden contrast in mood there as you can see in the video above.
The 11 second clip of Gabby Agbonlahor’s fate-tempting analysis has gone on to be viewed over 150,000 times on Twitter alone, and received over 1,000 likes and hundreds of comments and retweets.

The footage gave us an instant flashback to when Steve McClaren was in the Sky Sports News studio, reporting on England’s Euro 2016 game against Iceland.
The former England manager suffered a horrendous gaffe for Kolbeinn Sigthorsson’s winner.
Cutting back from an ad break, McClaren was quizzed as to how England had reacted to Iceland’s equaliser – ‘perfectly’, he responded.
He went on to outline how England’s Sterling and Sturridge had been causing Iceland problems.
Then, McClaren tempted fate – citing Kolbeinn Sigthorsson as Iceland’s only threat.
This all happened just moments before Iceland took the lead – though Sigthorsson.
Back to Monday night’s Premier League clash and fans have hit out at Jack Grealish on social media for dramatically diving to ground seconds after being tackled against West Ham.
Grealish was on the floor, not for the first or 10th time, and West Ham really didnβt like it. Declan Rice certainly wasn’t a happy chap.
But referee Peter Bankes stuck to his guns and booked Pablo Fornals and yet nothing for the dramatic diving. There was a swipe at the calves of the England man but he did rather exaggerate the fall.
The ref made the long walk over to the dugouts and he booked John Terry and a member of the West Ham backroom staff..

Former Hull City player Jarrod Bowen then headed in seconds into the second half to regain the lead.
With 15 minutes remaining, Trezeguet was left bleeding heavily from the head, however he didnβt want to go off, yet his head really needed over.
He got an inadvertent stud to the face from Declan Rice on his way down.
The Aston Villa were handed a penalty kick, only for Ollie Watkins to lean back a touch and slams it against the top of the crossbar.
There was controversy at the end when Villa thought they equalised in the closing stages however VAR ruled it out for offside.
Aston Villa boss Dean Smith said his side should have had a penalty if Ollie Watkins’ goal was not going to count. He also did not understand why his arm was used to gauge offside.
Because the upper arm can be used to score a goal, the portion of the arm that would be under a T-shirt sleeve is used to work out offsides.
Smith told BBC Sport: “I still don’t understand that disallowed goal – you can’t put it in with your arm but they know the laws better than me.
“If it’s offside I’m OK with that, but then it’s a penalty. The only reason he’s going to be offside is because he’s getting fouled, so it’s a penalty.”
BBC Radio 5 Live pundit Matt Upson, a former West Ham defender, said: “My problem with this is that the offside rule is taking away far more than it gives.
“I think everyone would be in agreement with that and when you analyse it that way you think well let’s change it then – so let’s just put a buffer in there, a margin of error, because all these incidents, players can’t gauge that detail in real time with their eyesight – it’s impossible.”
Sky Sports’ Gary Neville thinks there needs to be a fixed point for offsides, and not the current ‘armpit’ (T-shirt line) rule.
“Offside has always been about inches or a toe. Going from the armpit, there can be a clearer rule – whether it’s daylight, whatever it is. There can be something to make it clearer,” he said.
“It’s not technology causing problems. I would like accuracy and consistency in decisions. We have that. The problem is the fans hate it.
“The handball rule is a nonsense. The offside rule with the arm is a nonsense. They need changing. At that point VAR becomes more acceptable.”
The defeat sees Villa drop to 10th, while West Ham move to within four points of leaders Tottenham.
