Fans hit out at Jack Grealish for dramatically diving against West Ham

Fans have chosen to hit out at Jack Grealish on social media for dramatically diving to ground seconds after being tackled against West Ham.

Jack Grealish is on the floor, not for the first or 10th time, and West Ham don’t like it. Declan Rice is not a happy chap.

But referee Peter Bankes sticks to his guns and books Pablo Fornals. There was a swipe at the calves of the England man but he did rather exaggerate the fall.

The ref now makes the long walk over to the dugouts and he’s booked John Terry and a member of the West Ham backroom staff..

He was praised during the first half for what has been described as a sublime goal to draw level with the Hammers.

Ogbonna headed in from a corner for West Ham after two minutes, however just over 20 minutes later, Grealish’s strike deflected in off Ogbonna.

Former Hull City player Jarrod Bowen then headed in seconds into the second half to regain the lead.

With 15 minutes remaining, Trezeguet was left bleeding heavily from the head, however he didn’t want to go off, yet his head really needed over.

He got an inadvertent stud to the face from Declan Rice on his way down.

The  Aston Villa were handed a penalty kick, only for Ollie Watkins to lean back a touch and slams it against the top of the crossbar. Oh dear.

Stays the way it is, West Ham climb up to fifth place in the Premier League table, Aston Villa go to 10th.

Supporters sent in texts and messages to BBC Sport’s live blog, see what some of them said below…

Stuart Eccles: Exactly how do villa keep hold of Grealish in January, surely destined for one of the big 5, or Arsenal if he likes a challenge…

Anthony Dargan: We have just started to give away the cheap goals again similar to last year. It’s hard to play when you’re guaranteeing the other team goals

Seven Fields: Grealish may be good, but it also seems he’s trying to take over Neymar’s role as football’s super diver.

BeerWednesday: If Grealish is going to play act at least hold the correct knee. When will we see retroactive yellow cards for play acting and diving.

Steve, Bicester: Grealish is a disgrace to professional footballers. That’s a yellow card.

A huge number of fans continued to hit out at Jack Grealish for dramatically diving against West Ham…
