Fans claim Jack Grealish has crashed his car after telling people to stay at home

Fans claim Jack Grealish has crashed his car less than 24 hours after telling people to stay at home in a Twitter video clip.

Rumours went viral on social media that the Premier League star was driving when supposedly drunk and ended up smashing his vehicle into another car.

As can be seen in the post, it’s captioned: “Apparently this is Jack Grealish’s car. It is abandoned near my house. He vosted friends last night and left drunk in the early hours of this morning and proceeded to smash into parked cars. He ran off and had friends or family come and collect him. Police have just left. My neighbour witnessed it happen. Can anyone confirm if this is his motor? He cannot get away with this surely? ”

Another screenshot shows a WhatsApp message saying: “FYI. Jack Grealish and Tony Capaldi pissed as farts first thing this morning crashing into parked cars at Waterside.”

However, Aston Villa fans believe that this is in fact false and something made up by a bored Birmingham City supporter.

One Villan wrote: “Blues fans obviously bored in isolation so have started false rumours of Grealish crashing into parked cars pissed up and running off. Can confirm this is utter bullshit, Jack is self isolating after showing symptoms of Covid-19. He owns a white Range Rover but with different plates. Nice try.”

West Midlands Police say: “We were called to Waterside, Dickens Heath, just before 10am to reports that a Range Rover had crashed into two parked cars in the street.

“The driver left his details with a member of the public at the scene before leaving on foot, and will be spoken to by police in due course.

“Minor damage was caused to the parked vehicles.

“Officers are investigating the circumstances and anyone with information has been asked to get in touch, via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk quoting log 643 of 29 March.”

A neighbour said: “The party had been going on all night. It was unbearable. The noise had only stopped a short while when, just after 8am, there were a series of almighty collisions which reverberated through the flats.

“Outside, Jack Grealish was stood next to his car rowing with a security guard. It was strange to see an England ace looking so unkempt and dishevelled. He looked unsteady and confused.

“There was an almighty row because Jack didn’t want to wait around but people wanted answers from him.”

Freelance writer and commentator Dom Phillips is investigating the matter and says “I have reached out to Aston Villa Football Club for comment and will update if a response has been received.”

Grealish was said to have been at the flat of Ross McCormack and were apparently joined by Tony Capaldi.

A neighbour added: “Jack was eager to leave and did so.

“He was shrugging his shoulders and arrogantly telling angry motorists whose cars had been damaged that he’d pay for it all, as if it was no big deal.

“But suddenly he wasn’t around to talk to. It all happened very quickly.”

A pal said: “Jack has suddenly become very elusive to track down. Everyone is trying to get hold of him.”

Fans gave their reaction to a claim Jack Grealish has crashed his car after telling people to stay at home…

It comes less after he told people to stay at home due to the coronavirus. He also was praised this weekend for giving a personal message to one coronavirus victim who came back from the brink of death and was helped by his ‘lucky’ Aston Villa shirt.

Supporter Matt Dockray was told he would have to go on a ventilator and had slim chances of pulling through so he asked if he could put on the club shirt his wife had packed for him.

Matt posted: “Had a pretty crap week this week and nearly ended up as a Holte Ender in the sky!!

“Was told I would be going on a ventilator and not much hope of pulling through with a positive COVID test.

“I asked to put my lucky Villa shirt on that my wife had put in my bag and, well, here we are.

“The messages from the Villa faithful have been phenomenal and if this man didn’t need any more praise he is and will always be an absolute legend. VTID (Villa till I die) Super Jack.”

Matt was discharged on Thursday and then received Grealish’s best wishes from home: “I’ve just heard the news that you’ve been fighting the virus for the past couple of weeks.

“I’ve heard that you haven’t been feeling too good. I can relate because I’ve been in the same position the last week, 10 days, you know I’ve not been feeling too good but it sounds like you’ve been a little bit worse than me.

“I just wanted to send you a quick video just to say I hope you’re getting better soon and to keep the high spirits up.

“Hopefully, we’ll be back out there soon playing football and winning a few games for Aston Villa and that will put you back in a good mood. Stay safe pal and all the best.”
