After reading up on the EFL considering automatic point deductions for teams who fail to pay wages on time, supporters took to give their thoughts on if they approve on it on not with many hoping if would include all staff and not just playing – see those tweets on the next page….
This should apply to all staff at the club, not just playing staff.

I’d support it so long as it includes ALL staff

Shit idea, they need to properly regulate who is and isn’t able to purchase a club in the first place

Surely it'd be better to take measures to prevent it happening in the first place, than take action to penalise clubs after it's happened.

In two minds. Seems rather distasteful to damage a club further if it's in trouble but if the people running the place are like Charles Green or the Oystons then something has to be done for the good of the club and the game. Wish such types could be fined personally.

@OwenClarke505: No, take measures to prevent this from happening instead of punishing the fans
@1988Pete: OR… You know… Fix the actual problem that would prevent the need for this.
@arajk2908: Points deductions only ever end up punishing the fans
@_kayleighsays: I can see the incentive but surely it’s better to prevent rather than punish? Plus it’s the fans who suffer.
@jbennett1997: Good, might make owners think about playing with their employees lives
@KathrinaPerry: Our chairman said in a recent interview that he had brought this up in EFL meetings. Seems like a sensible way forward to me
@JeffCole18: Fine the owners for not paying the wages and should apply to any member of staff not being paid not just the players.
