EFL and non league matches postponed due to Storm Babet with stadiums damaged

A number of this weekend’s EFL and non league matches postponed due to Storm Babet with a number of stadiums being damaged in the process.

Friday’s Championship fixture between Rotherham and Ipswich ended up being the first in the Football league caused flooding by the stadium.

The River Don, which sits beside the New York Stadium, burst its banks on Friday afternoon after heavy rainfall, and while the pitch remained playable, they were left with “no choice but to postpone the game” three hours before kick off.
