Manager Dean Brennan has a new message for fans after his gone viral rant with the club now making a generous ticket offer for a home game.
The Barnet manager hit out at his own club’s moany fans, having been left unhappy at criticism from some supporters during Barnet’s 2-1 win at home to Altrincham in midweek.
Brennan gave an incredibly passionate post-match interview and demanded the supporters turn up in more numbers. Now it seems they’re coming up with ways of getting more fans through the turnstiles at future matches.
Brennan said on Thursday: “Hi, all. I’ve just had a brilliant conversation with our chairman. We’re going to create an offer for our game against Fylde here at The Hive in two weeks time.
“And the offer is going to be football for a fiver. Get yourselves down here. Let’s get The Hive buzzing. And we show a little bit of character and a little bit of togetherness. We can do it.’

Dean Brennan went on quite the rant after the 2-1 win against Altrincham on Tuesday night.
He said:Ā We got character. We got togetherness. Weāre in their camp. I donāt like the moan and groans from my supporters over here beside me, moaning get forward, screaming rubbish at me when weāre 1-0 down. Weāve just played now 6 games without a recognised centre forward. And I have to be honest with you. I think our level of performance has been outstanding. If they donāt want that, Iāll move on then. If thatās what they want. Get someone else to do the job because Iām sick and tired of it. Just a miserable moany lot. Get behind the group. Get behind the team. So I feel that way about it. Iām delighted for the boys. Delighted for the players. Delighted for our supporters that come with the Gateshead and clap us off. But Iām hearing this out here. I donāt like it. You know. Go somewhere else and be negative. Itās their money. They can do what they want, but I can say what I want on here as well and how I really feel because I donāt I donāt pull no punches. Moaning and groaning.
Interviewer:Ā Yeah. And, obviously, just speaking on the football, for the 90 minutes, it looked like a really good battle, a really good test between 2 top teams.
Dean:Ā Yeah. We got young lads that read the social media. I donāt read it. Iām not on it. Iāve got young lads reading social media. Iāve got stuff on social media going against my goalkeeper. Does that help? Does it? Does that help everybody? Theyāre all geniuses now. They wanna clap you off, donāt they? Yeah. You know what happens in life? When youāre in the tough times, you see the real characters, the real people. Thatās what Iām looking for, character in this group. Character. I want fans to come with us with it. Thereās a message for you. Alright? Do not edit that, by the way. I want that to go out because thatās very important because weāre very open and very honest with our supporters. But when Iām hearing on our negativity, when weāre playing well good goal by Altrincham by the way. Good goal on the counter attack. Fair play. Good goal. Good. Justinās reply pace. And Iāve gotta listen to that moment. Iām here. Just relax. I know what Iām doing. I took this team over. Bottom of the table. Have a look where you are. Yeah? Thereās a lot of other teams below us. Thatās how I feel about it. Iām very, very angry and frustrated. If any fan wants to come see me, my door is open. Come in come in and see me. Have a cup of tea with me, and come and see me. And Iāll explain where weāre at and whoās injured and whatās happening. No Taveres. No Brown. No Kabamba. No Collinge. Who else is missing? Coker. Just come back. You know, get behind this young group. Look at Joe Roy tonight. Outstanding. Joe Greenwood, outstanding performance. Unbelievable. Chapman, what a player. Front character. So I want us to get behind our players, not moan at them, not seeing them or winning. I want us to be a proper football club. All I ever hear is moaning, moaning about the chairman. The beer is not good enough. Thatās not good enough. Come on, man. Get behind the group. Get behind the team.
Interviewer: And you Iāve seen that in that youāre obviouslyā¦
Dean:Ā By the way, there were only 900 fans here tonight. Thatās what it was announced as well. It was 900 here. Yeah. Weāre the big club, arenāt we?
Interviewer:Ā And Iāve seen that you mentioned about about Joe Greenwood. Heās obviously had a really bright start to the season with. Three clean sheets, you know, for a team thatās obviously not the right side of the table, and yet heās coming tonight and done a Iāve done an impeccable performance like you said.
Dean:Ā Heās a top player. You know, we expected to lose players this year. My chairman supported me and kept him with us. You know, we got players in the last year, the contract, con college, people like that. We expected to lose them. Chairmanās torn torn down bids and kept the struts the squad strong, so I sent Joe out on loan. He listened to what I said, and heās got some experience in the National League. Heās a good player. You know? Heās here to place people like college and that if they donāt sign new contracts, if they leave on free transfers. Thatās the future of the football club. Can they not see what Iām doing? So our second half, we were out there outstanding, especially up against all the elements. And I thought our fitness levels were were top. Weāre a one fit team. Even when we are losing to, like, Gateshead we kept going, kept trying. We never gave in. In every game, we havenāt given in. So weād like our supporters not to give in, also.
Interviewer:Ā Yeah. And and, obviously, as well, we spoke about Reece Brown before in interviews and how youāve obviously been so impressed for of his and how what he can bring to the group. And, obviously, youāve seen that tonight he comes on and scores last minute.
Dean:Ā And heās a proper player. Just gotta keep me fit. Thatās the key bit. Keep him fit. We got brilliant medical centre here with TicHealth, chairman, and, we just gotta keep him fit. Once we get him and Nikki back, weāre gonna be a force. But I know this division. You canāt get too high and you canāt get too low, and I know how difficult itās gonna be. So we move on to Braintree. Obviously, gave a good account of themselves again tonight. They were unbeaten in 4 or 5 games. Angeloās doing a great job there. So itās gonna be another difficult game, but itās today is about my team, the collective of my team, and and what theyāre about. And we showed character after going to Gateshead in a game where I didnāt think we shouldāve lost it, it, in a game where we kept going, we kept digging deep, and we come back to let him bounce back, and thatās what good sides do. So letās see how we get on. Weāre in tomorrow. Our reserve team going tomorrow against Palace, training tomorrow, and towards the end of Friday. We make the sacrifices. We know what it takes to win football matches.
Interviewer:Ā Yeah. And, obviously, like we said earlier about how, you know, teams have come to the hive every again this season and then felt that defeat. How important is it to keep the hive the fortress that it can be?
Dean:Ā Yeah. It helped it helped if we brought more than 900 supporters here. You know, if we can get 2,000, thatāll help the chairman. Thatāll help us get a centre forward. If people start buying more tickets and buying beers and sweets and all that. Well, apparently, thatās not good enough. All I heard is moaning. So thatād help. Yeah. Though we have to rely on Tony. Keep relying on Tonyās pocket. Heās crying prepared heās crying kidsā money. You know, theyāre inheritance. Just keep going. Come here. Spend your money. Get this place rocking. I have no problem sending players in there that are injured after 12 oāclock. Go to be with the supporters. I want to get on this. We canāt splinter away. You know, moaning about everything. Jesus Christ. Look. Give me 5.

@beespod: Unbelievable offer.
@MikeyBoy17: That is such a fantastic gesture by the Club. I just hope that we really can get a couple of thousand more people coming through the turnstiles. If not, nothing will. Letās circulate this across social media so the club hasnāt got to spend money on advertising.
