Dag & Red take action against Kurt Zouma’s footballer brother Yoan amid cat abuse video

Dag & Red take action against Kurt Zouma’s footballer brother Yoan amid the cat abuse video which surfaced earlier this week.

The National League club have previously condemned the actions of their defender Yoan Zouma for his role where he captured the horrible scenes on camera and laughed whilst it happened.

West Ham’s Kurt could still be prosecuted after being filmed booting his cat like a football across his kitchen floor while slapping it across the face

The two footballers have been slammed after The Sun exclusively revealed the vile footage

CLUB STATEMENT:

The Club would like to give a further update on its player, Yoan Zouma.

Yoan was this week contacted by the RSPCA to assist in their investigation and is fully cooperating with them.

However, Dagenham & Redbridge FC would again like to reiterate that it condemns any form of cruelty towards animals and fully understands the reaction of many of its supporters.

The Club has therefore decided that until the RSPCA has completed its investigations, Yoan will not play for Dagenham & Redbridge in any competitive match.

Any further action deemed necessary to be taken will be made at the conclusion of the RSPCA investigation.

Yoan filmed his elder brother sickeningly kicking the cat across the floor

The Daggers issued their a statement regarding the disgraceful incident as Yoan ‘unreservedly’ apologised for his involvement.

Posted days after the incident, it read: “Dagenham & Redbridge FC condemns the actions of our player Yoan Zouma in filming the video that has circulated of his brother, and his reactions to the events shown.

“Since first becoming aware of the incident this morning the club has had discussions with Yoan and we will now take some time to consider our response, which we will of course make public in due course.

“However, in the meantime we would like to make it completely clear that we in no way condone any form of cruelty towards animals and take this matter very seriously.”

Yoan Zouma then added: “I deeply regret my involvement in the video that has been widely circulated and unreservedly apologise, not only for my actions, but for the upset and distress this will have caused to so many people.

“I am now taking time to reflect on what I have done but wish to assure everyone that this was an isolated incident and not something that I am proud of.”

Twitter users reacted as Dag & Red take action against Kurt Zouma’s footballer brother Yoan amid the cat abuse video…

@FtblAshley: Club has handled the situation well

@SilkySagaf: Well done Dagenham. My club

@Paularnold37: Proper course of action to take. Well done

@fredwibblington: Well done, handled much better then @WestHam they could lead some lessons from this.

@Rhysbarker2: We handled it better than west ham and our player didnt even kick the cat 🤷🏻‍♂️

@carryunwind: The proper cause of action is termination. If a banker or lawyer was caught doing what they did he would be terminated promptly. There must not be special treatment for footballers!

@HarryM82206446: Thank god he’s not playing

@AnnRMarsh: Well done!!! Shame West Ham didn’t do the same for his despicable brother!

@DebStibbs: Good. There is something inherently wrong with anyone who enjoys abusing animals.

@stewartjoyce65: @WestHam are you watching!!! This is how you react, it like you lot did.

@longtallsally19: If only West Ham had the balls…

@fatboyfeaver16: Thats the right way!

@Luke__Taylor__: West Ham should take note

@MrR1g4t: @WestHam This is how you deal with the situation properly. Goes to show morals & integrity go out the window at the top of the game as it’s all about money.

@krittterrr: West Ham United should be taking notes…

@DarranPearce: Wonder if West Ham will follow suit

@JoshKench1: Showing West ham how to handle it properly

@SuzanneCollier: At least one football club knows how to handle the situation. Yoan Zuoma suspended for the foreseeable.

@becky_cox1994: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Looks like I’ve got plans for Saturday again!

@wwfcscott: This is how a club is supposed to be handling the situation. Good on Dagenham.

@Paskins_tache: Waiting on Sue Grays report.

@DaggerDeCabrera: Well done Dagenham 🔴🔵⚔️

@AshPalmersBrick: Daggers doing what West Ham didn’t

@thfc_hjb: proper club, how it should be handled

@johno59uk: That should have been the response from West Ham.

@lauren_sadler1: Well handled by Dagenham, which proves those at the top with money have no morals.

@thedagger666: This is how you should have dealt with it @WestHam

@DarrenHitching: Daggers making a big statement here

@drmpr: What message is @WestHam sending if it doesn’t handle #KurtZouma similarly? Despite a #PR statement to the contrary, #WestHam would essentially be showing that it does condone & tolerate cat #abuse & #AnimalCruelty.
