The FA Cup Fifth Round TV selections are revealed by BBC and ITV coverage with games taking place between the 1st and 7th of March.
The draw of the FA Cup competition took place on Sunday the 6th of February 2022 and the majority of fans were excited to see that non league side Boreham Wood would play be travelling to Premier League outfit Everton.
The Wood Army, who play in the National League (the fifth tier of the English football league system) were rewarded an away tie against the Toffees, who currently sit 16th in the top flight, after winning 4-1 at home to Brentford, Frank Lampard’s first game in charge.
There were other shocks across all three days, and also came agonisingly close to having one of the biggest cup upsets in the competition’s history.
As if Championship side Middlesbrough knocking out Manchester United on penalties was not enough on Friday night, National League North club Kidderminster Harriers were an injury-time goal away from beating Premier League West Ham United on the Saturday and even then, would have taken the game to penalties had it not been for another last-gasp goal from the Hammers.
Reigning European champions Chelsea needed extra-time to get past League One opposition in Plymouth Argyle, with even more drama later that afternoon.
Then on Sunday, as mentioned, National League side Boreham Wood stunned high-flying Bournemouth, who play three divisions higher than Luke Garrard’s men, to progress to the fifth round, where they join Nottingham Forest after the Championship side knocked out their rivals and reigning FA Cup holders Leicester City with a 4-1 win.

Twitter users reacted as the FA Cup Fifth Round TV selections are revealed by BBC and ITV…
@TheDB30: Shock on the cards on the Thursday, I reckon Everton might win that.
@tommms: Every game on ‘free to air’ TV is great news
@THENUNEATONFOX: Well good on ITV and BBC to slap all games on TV although BBC could put their red button games on BBC3/BBC4?
@Uziworth: 8:15 kick off? if thzt goes to pens looks like I’ll be walking home
@Fazza69: All games televised!!!!
@dawkins_daniel: 7.15??? What’s that all about then, absolute joke of a kick off time
@Mark85cfc: 7.15 on the wednesday now to see if i manage to scramble a brief.
@Alexnelson2004: Get Keano and Wrighty down to London Road
@CFC_CS: What sort of a joke kick off time is 7.15? Just as well it’s only half hour up the road from me.
@TheFamousCIub: ITV4 is the best ITV #nffc
@ReissNFFC: Wonder if the draw will be done before our game…
@danwilson1510: Fucking glad we didn’t go through. 8.15 away at Everton on a Thursday 😭😭
@MaximusOwen: That’s an unpleasant KO time for Norwich in a midweek game. Must be a good 4 hour trek that for a 8:15 start.
@LiamKHFC: Midweek is a farce
@Marathon_Tardis: I don’t like these mid week FA Cup games. Should always be on a weekend
@FACupFactfile: The #FACup thrives on the higher than normal allocation for away fans. The unnecessary #winterbreak and the misplaced belief that #FACup replays cause fixture congestion has resulted in ties kicking off at ridiculous times, preventing away fans from easily attending games
