Crystal Palace players go viral when having their say in ‘Doors vs Wheels’ debate

Crystal Palace players go viral this week when having their say in the ‘Doors vs Wheels’ debate which has got a lot of talk on social media.

The last time we all got in an internet debate, was back 2016 when we all debated over the colour of a dress, was is black and blue or gold?

Well we’ve all moved on from that now and everyone is trying to work out if there are more doors in the world than wheels? Yes, really. I suppose any distraction is one we could do with right now…

As you can see, a Twitter user who had around 2,000 followers, simply asked that very question and now it’s got the world’s attention, with over 220,000 votes made on the poll.

Of course, this question has been put to footballers to throw a spanner in the works and get players thinking on the training ground. And no doubt some content idea for the clubs’ social media channels.

Crystal Palace players were asked the very question, and it produced a mixed response with Jack Butland sure it is ‘doors’ seemingly just going with an instinct like all of us and nothing to base it on, Conor Gallagher however is a ‘wheels’ man as you can see in the video below.

Mark Pougatch had his say: “It’s sort of reassuring in a strange way that with the world in the state it is, my family what’s app is currently contesting with some ferocity as to whether there are more doors or wheels globally…”

And even pundits at talkSPORT had their say, after all, they’ll just on anything if it means a debate over something silly.

Ally McCoist said: Undoubtably more doors.

Caller Sam Ellard said: Thank you! In the house that I live in, there must be, some doors and even double doors, there must be 30 doors in my house, there are no wheels in my house. 100% doors. I;ve been around the office, everyone’s saying wheels. On the poll, more than 250,000 people thought wheels and I can’t believe that.

Ally was shocked too, adding: “I don’t think it’s even close.”

The debate had Laura Woods thinking, she said: “I’m just thinking of the number of different wheels because it’s not just car wheels, it’s bikes as well. Are we talking toy wheels too?”

Ally really was flummoxed and taken back by the thought and went to try and work it out again and mentioned hamster wheels rather amusingly. Again see how that debate played out below…

As ridiculous this is, and after Crystal Palace players go viral when having their say in ‘Doors vs Wheels’ debate, here’s what others are saying on Twitter…

@stratz125: Gotta be wheels

@nickgusset: No cupboards in your house?

@shaunrettie: @LAshworth91 @Murton90 good content, it’s a shame they are all wrong though, it’s clearly wheels

@SaucyZaha: More houses than cars in the world, every house on average has six doors (not including cupboards) a car has minimum 3 doors if the boot is counted, wheels are the wrong answer.

@dfelton90: Butland 😂😂

@NigeyT100m: I feel the maths was flawed from Butland there😅

@KarenFaz: Wheels?! Surely…

@CraigGartland: Well guess I’ll be doing zero work today as I think about this.

@RossMac_: More doors. FACT

@jonnyypowell: Just use this as that concussion/brain injury testing in football

@joeyt3699: I haven’t stopped thinking about this all day. There’s so many things to think about; cupboard doors, wheels on toys, wheels used in conveyor belts, do the flaps on advent calendars count as doors? Ground breaking question IMO.

@Universal9168:
Every car has 4 wheels but a lot have 5 doors. Plus doors to your hous, Atleast 1 or 2.
Then again there are bicycles and motorcycles which have 2 wheels and no doors.
But I’d say ultimately there are more doors.
#click #coyp @CPFC

@ProSoccer6: Fried my brain this, I have no idea

@jt_tiz: Surely there are more doors? Though there are a lot of bikes…

@DeanJFrancis: A lot of doors even include wheels, the Tesco I work at wheels beats doors I’d say 3-1 every dolly has four alone and we have thousands of those it’s wheels not even close

@dan24binz: The average family house has 12 doors. How many doors in an office block? Sky scraper? Etc Even most cars have 5 doors. Surely it’s doors?

@PASSEY14: Wheels, even sliding doors have wheels! Cars have wheels in the engine as well as the 4 (and a spare)on the car, but only 3-5 doors Bikes/motorbikes don’t have doors. Lorries have loads of wheels, 2 doors

@stevieelliott6: A dont even think its as close as what ppl think. A reckon its wheels by mile!!

@Chris555Tompa: Lego are the largest tyre manufacturer in the world. Gotta be wheels.

@AndyMoscrop: I’ve selected wheels but I’ve now changed my mind

@skinnylegz1: Everyone keeps saying wheels because of cars but most cars have 4 wheels and 4/5 doors 🤔

@elkinson65: Wheels inside mechanical watches

@FinlayGodfrey: Advent calendars

@ReissTims98: Don’t forget wagon wheels
