Chris Sutton‘s Premier League score predictions for this week have been revealed and as always he’s joined by a guest.
The BBC pundit replaced Mark Lawrenson in trying to correctly pick the correct scores for every game against a variety of guests.
Nottingham born Chris Sutton played as a striker for the likes of Norwich, Blackburn, Chelsea, Celtic, Birmingham, Aston Villa, Wroxham and England, before managing Lincoln City.
For this week, he takes on YouTuber Angry Ginge, who supports Manchester United. AI predictions are also generated using Microsoft Copilot Chat.
BURNLEY v BOURNEMOUTH
I remember going for a 2-0 Bournemouth win when these two sides met before Christmas.
Bournemouth went 1-0 up, so I thought I was on to score 40 points when I heard there had been another goal late on, but it turned out to be a Burnley equaliser.
That’s the way my season has been going with predictions, but I am actually going to go for another Cherries win, and by the same scoreline too.
I’ve been saying for a while that Burnley have got too much to do to stay up, and it definitely isn’t happening now.
I still think Scott Parker’s side will be competitive, but I don’t see them getting anything against his old club this time.
Bournemouth have not lost in the league since 3 January but they have drawn their past three games, so they are due a win.
Sutton’s prediction: 0-2
Angry Ginge’s prediction: I wouldn’t be surprised if Bournemouth go 2-0 up and Burnley bring it back again, Burnley seem to be loving doing that at the minute, although they might not hang on for a draw. 2-3
AI’s prediction: 1-2

SUNDERLAND v BRIGHTON
I was really disappointed by Sunderland’s defeat at Port Vale in the FA Cup, and not just because that was another prediction I got wrong.
It felt like an absolute gimme for Regis le Bris’ side, and I wanted to see them have a decent cup run.
They have still had a great season and they have already hit 40 points so they will be absolutely fine in terms of staying up.
But they will still want to finish the season strongly, and that means they need to get their home form going again – after staying unbeaten there for so long, they have lost the past two at the Stadium of Light.
Brighton hit a sticky patch too around the turn of the year but they had picked up again with wins over Brentford and Nottingham Forest before narrowly losing out to Arsenal last time out.
The Seagulls can reel Sunderland in and move above them in the table with a win but I don’t think they will get one. Instead, I am going for a draw.
Sutton’s prediction: 1-1
Angry Ginge’s prediction: This is at Sunderland, so I am going with them to win. 2-1
AI’s prediction: 1-2

ARSENAL v EVERTON
Arsenal got away with a poor performance against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday thanks to Kai Havertz’s late penalty against his former club.
There’s a chance that fatigue kicks in for them here but it shouldn’t do, because they have got such great depth in their squad.
It was quite a tight affair when these two sides met in December, but Arsenal nicked the points at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and I am expecting the same to happen this time too.
Everton will make it difficult for them, and try to hang on in the game. They could easily score too, but I am going for Arsenal to find a way to win again, and get the job done.
Sutton’s prediction: 2-0
Angry Ginge’s prediction: This is at the Emirates so you probably have to favour Arsenal, but again they have not been too convincing of late. I can feel a draw, so I will go with that even though Arsenal will probably nick it. 1-1
AI’s prediction: 3-0

CHELSEA v NEWCASTLE
Chelsea’s recent record against Newcastle at Stamford Bridge is really good – they have won 11 of their 12 league games there since 2012, and drew the other one.
I just wonder how deflated Liam Rosenior’s side will be after being pumped in Paris on Wednesday night – Paris St-Germain’s fifth goal felt like a real hammer blow.
This game finished 2-2 earlier in the season when Nick Woltemade put Newcastle 2-0 up before Chelsea fought back in the second half.
Newcastle will be hoping Anthony Gordon is back at 100% after his illness that meant he was only a substitute against Barcelona on Tuesday.
But even if Gordon does start, I am still pretty confident Chelsea will win this one.
Sutton’s prediction: 2-1
Angry Ginge’s prediction: I do like what Chelsea are doing. 3-1
AI’s prediction: 2-1

WEST HAM v MAN CITY
Manchester City have not lost to West Ham in the league since 2015 but this will be a test for them.
The Hammers are desperate for points, while City melted in Madrid in midweek. From 3-0 down, I can’t see them turning that tie around on Tuesday.
This is a big few weeks for Pep Guardiola’s side, who have got Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final, Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals and are clinging on in Europe.
At the moment the Quadruple is still on for City but at the moment you’d say they are far more likely to end up with a trophyless season than they are to win all four.
West Ham surprised me by beating Fulham in their last league game but I am still not convinced by them at home.
This will be tricky for City but I think they will edge it. Everyone else seems to have lost faith in Erling Haaland, but not me. He will score, and City will win.
Sutton’s prediction: 1-2
Angry Ginge’s prediction: West Ham have hit a bit of form but then they got battered by Liverpool in the middle of that run of good results so I’d probably go for a comfortable win for City as well – unfortunately. 0-3
Angry Ginge on playing at London Stadium in Soccer Aid 2026: I’ve played here before, in my first Sidemen match in 2023. What an unbelievable day that was, and this one will be another incredible occasion too.
AI’s prediction: 1-3

CRYSTAL PALACE v LEEDS
Leeds hammered Crystal Palace 4-1 before Christmas but it will be much closer when they meet on Sunday.
Palace seem to have stabilised again, and have picked up a couple of wins to give themselves some breathing space over the bottom three.
Leeds are in much greater danger and I am a bit worried about them at the moment. They need to keep picking up positive results.
I really feel for Daniel Farke because he has had a great season but they are only three points clear of the relegation zone, and they really need something from this game.
There will be some goals in this, but I think the points will be shared.
Sutton’s prediction: 2-2
Angry Ginge’s prediction: I am going to go with Palace to win 2-0, no make that 1-0. They were decent against us the other week – mind you, so were Leeds when I saw them against City. I watched the highlights and Leeds battered them. 1-0
AI’s prediction: 1-1

MAN UTD v ASTON VILLA
This is third versus fourth, and it feels big for both teams’ seasons.
It is important for Michael Carrick that he gets back on track after suffering his first defeat as United manager, to 10-man Newcastle.
The wheels have come off for Aston Villa in a big way and Unai Emery was obviously right when he was so negative about his side’s title hopes.
It’s hard to make a case for Villa because they look really flat. They started the season poorly, and it looks like they are going to finish it poorly too.
Villa won 2-1 when they met before Christmas. Let’s go for a reverse of that scoreline.
Sutton’s prediction: 2-1
Angry Ginge’s prediction: What a game this is going to be – this is huge in the race for the top four. It’s at Old Trafford as well, so United are going to win. It won’t be Sesko who makes the difference this time – it will be Senne Lammens and Bruno Fernandes. 2-0
Angry Ginge on United’s hopes of making the Champions League places: To be honest, even under Ruben Amorim, I thought we were going to get top four. Seeing us hit the heights we have hit now under Carrick just makes me even more confident – standards are up, the players are up, morale is up. We are not untouchable, but whoever plays us has to be on their game to beat us.
Angry Ginge on whether Carrick should stay in charge beyond the end of the season: You can see what Carrick is doing, he is playing to the players’ strengths, not just trying to do his own stubborn thing. I hold my hands up, I was ‘Ruben in’ because I thought we were getting behind a process – we paid around £10m to get him from Sporting and Sir Jim [Ratcliffe] came out and said he needed to be there for three years, so I thought ‘ok, we will get behind him’.
But almost immediately Carrick comes in and things are better. I look at myself now and think ‘why was I even settling for that?’ We have got to give Carrick the job permanently. The results are there, the morale is there. He is 100% the right man.
AI’s prediction: 2-1

NOTTINGHAM FOREST v FULHAM
This is a huge game for Nottingham Forest.
They got a good draw against Manchester City last time out but what they need is a win – I know I keep pointing this out but Forest boss Vitor Pereira still hasn’t won a Premier League game this season, after 11 attempts with them and Wolves.
This is a great chance for Forest to put that right, but I don’t think they will take it.
You just don’t know what you are going to get from Fulham but they can play with a bit of freedom here.
Sutton’s prediction: 1-1
Angry Ginge’s prediction: I fancy Fulham here. 1-2
AI’s prediction: 2-1

LIVERPOOL v TOTTENHAM
How on earth can anyone back Spurs to get anything at the moment?
Igor Tudor is making me look like I was a competent manager when I was in charge of Lincoln.
The Spurs fans in Madrid were singing about playing Lincoln away next season – the Imps are top of League One – can you imagine me up against Tudor in the dugout?
He has taken over a difficult situation but he has gone about things in a very odd way.
It might be the done thing in Croatia or Italy to go into a club and tell the players some truths and say they are rubbish, but it is one thing doing it behind closed doors, and another to do it publicly.
There just seems to be so many things wrong at Spurs. They sacked Thomas Frank, thinking they were going to get this short-term fix from Tudor, but they have got a guy who has had a short-term shocker.
Liverpool are far from convincing either, mind you. It’s not impossible that Spurs scramble a win here because Arne Slot’s side were lousy in Turkey on Tuesday.
Slot has got the second leg against Galatasaray to think about, and they will make changes, but they surely can’t lose to Tottenham, can they?
Sutton’s prediction: 2-0
Angry Ginge’s prediction: Liverpool have defended the title poorly and Spurs are just back to normal – it is crazy what is happening there. 3-1
AI’s prediction: 2-2

BRENTFORD v WOLVES
Wolves have picked up but they are still the only Premier League side without an away win this season.
I don’t see that changing here. Keith Andrews has done a brilliant job at Brentford and although they are out of the FA Cup they are still doing really well in the league.
Sutton’s prediction: 2-1
Angry Ginge’s prediction: Wolves have picked up a little bit, but Brentford are at home and they have got their throw-ins, their corners and their free-kicks. 3-1
AI’s prediction: 1-1
