Chelsea’s new 2024/25 away kit and video to reveal it leaves fans divided, quickly trending on Twitter just like it did for their home strip.
The kit, designed by Nike, features a unique design with a blue base with an orange badge that fans are struggling to like.
Some fans praised the kit for its elegance and visual appeal, while others criticised the design, particularly the look of the badge and the lack of creativity.
The launch video, shot on location in San Jose, also received mixed reviews, with some appreciating its artistic approach and others questioning its relevance to the kit itself.
Overall, the new away kit has generated significant discussion among Chelsea fans, with opinions ranging from enthusiastic support to disappointment.
A different kind of fire.

The club said in a statement via their official website: With the Chelsea pre-season tour in full swing Stateside, together with club kit partner Nike we are delighted to unveil the Blues’ new away kit for the coming season.
The ‘blue flame’ theme from this year’s home kit continues into the away shirt, with the orange accent colour presenting fire and the shared ambition, burning passion and determination of the whole club to succeed both on and off the pitch. Together, We Burn Blue.
The shirt and shorts feature a woven fabric in ‘guava ice’, a lighter shade of orange, which brings a clean, youthful and on-trend aesthetic.
Both are accented by ‘team orange’ and ‘rush blue’ trims to provide contrast and a connection to the home kit which also carries the tones so synonymous with the club’s kits over the years.
This season’s shirts also feature a custom crest, enhancing the orange tones from the club’s past kits in a modern way.
Featuring Dri-FIT ADV, the innovative fabric is designed to keep players cool, light and dry in the moments that matter most.
The away kit is on sale now via the club’s official online store and from the stadium Megastore.
Mixed reaction to ‘never before seen’ bold design for Chelsea’s 2024/25 sponsorless home kit
As mentioned, Chelsea’s new 2024/25 away kit and the video to reveal it leaves fans divided…
@VdykCFC: One of the best shirts we’ve produced in years
@Dave_C90: 2/2 for shit kits. Some going @nikefootball fair play 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻
@Parksie: Regardless of the kits, this one’s not as nice as the home, their soundtrack game is on point this season.
@biggsy350:
In contrast to the home kit, this is actually a lovely kit – I like the very light orange.
What I don’t like, and I know we are not the only one doing this, is the price point:
– £125 for a match shirt fit for exercise in
– £85 for a stadium replica
– £65 for a kids’ replica

@tliiasaw13: I like the kit but wtf is this video? And there are no Chelsea women players in there 👎🏻
@AndrewTurmer: Classic, elegant and beautiful without a sponsor. This one looks great. Fun kit reveal helps too.
@JKJMusic: Well that’s two shit kits this season, may as well release the third pile of shit too
@foreverayellow: surely chelsea / nike can come up with something much better than that?!
@DannCFC21: Is it just me or is this kit really basic lol? Seems like they just inverted the colours from last season’s home jersey
@jlvnce: I like. Miles miles better than that monstrosity of a home kit
@TomLevins1: I just hate the orange in the badge. Otherwise it’s a nice kit 😭
@CalhudsonodoiV2: Why do people like this so much?
@MarkMcC1905: This is 10/10
@CFCDaily: The kit is 10/10 if the badge wasn’t orange.
@harryarthur10:And also if the collar was just standard round neck, matching the sleeve cuffs, it would be better!
@nahteethan01: wtf is Chelsea’s away kit announcement video 😂😂
@RobinsReds_: Surely I’m not alone here… Chelsea’s home kit looks dog sick after it ate a blue piece of chalk. The away kit seems to quite literally be repurposed England kits from the Euros. & the red and blue stick-on badge looks bloody atrocious 🤔
@QueenSandy_CFC: I actually am not a fan of this away kit 😩 why had Nike run out of creative ideas?
@daisyfayebeeTTV: It has grown on me; looks kinda vintage
@Cowboystew6969: Would have looked so much better the badge and trim being gold
@CamPasta11: meh. it’s alright i guess
@JudeChels: The kit is near on perfect but the red plastic badge ruins it though
@Carefree__JT: It’s mid, but it’s definitely much better than the home kit at least.
@ChelseaSW6_: Advert is cringe, Kit is better than the home one at least. We’re a football team not a fashion brand.
@CFCLux_: I mean that’s a really boring kit but ofc people will probably like it more than the home one
@henryloso_: Better than the home kit but not sure about the red badge…
@RealTomHoskins: Why couldn’t the home kit be a simple and clean as this !!
@charliepatrick0: Best Chelsea away kit in years 🔥 Fair play to Nike on this one 👏🏻
@CFC_Nathan_: 2/2 with kits imo like the look of the 3rd but will wait until release to see how it looks
@ChrisSweetman6: Chelsea new away kit is dashing 🔥
@Cai_CFC: I think this kit is lovely, I just don’t get why the badge is orange, that’s the one flaw I have with it
