After reading up on the story, fans took to mock the husband for sitting in the West Brom end with a Cardiff shirt on…

I’ll be honest I don’t think there’s any defence for him it’s quite naive

It’s not rocket science if you go in the opposition end to watch a game of football don’t wear colours did he honestly think he would get away with it ??

I spoke with the guy whilst waiting to get in the ground and advised him if he didn't cover his shirt whilst entering the turnstiles and once inside he would be thrown out. Clearly he did not believe me. Crazy to complain after being told.

@bluebirdlegend: Really? It’s plain common sense not to wear colours amongst opposing fans.
@ElectricMudz: Shouldn’t have wore A Cardiff shirt in the West Brom end then, his fault
@TheLeckwithMole: What a whopper! ?
@craigmarv81: He’s lucky he didnt get a slap to be honest. Not the brightest move.
@jastle68: Wt planet’s this weapon been living on then? ?
@SuttyCCFC: With Sympathy, i have to say it was not a wise move in the first place, why put yourself and your wife in such a predicament were you could of been in danger of antagonising the opposition supporters, and bring unwanted trouble your way, common sense has to prevail really.
@rob_myatt: “Martin Monnes-Thomas said he felt like he was ‘treated like a criminal’ ” Umm the rules are written on the ticket in bold.
@4beertaps: It was a policed match. Category A same as a local derby match. Any away supporter in the home end in any ground in the country is getting ejected from one of those.
