Our live stream ahead of Monday nights Premier League match, Brighton vs Southampton is now up, kicking off at 20.00pm BST.
You can keep an eye on the commentary as it happens below, but first, we take a preview into the fixture, lineups, predictions and much more…
Brighton come into the game having drew with Liverpool last time out. They claimed a 1-1 draw thanks to Pascal Gross’ controversial injury-time penalty – awarded after a VAR.
The draw has kept the Seagulls 4 points above the relegation zone of the Premier League table.

With the game at 1-0 heading into stoppage time, Andrew Robertson was adjudged to have kicked the foot of Danny Welbeck in the box, and after going over to the pitchside monitor, referee Stuart Attwell awarded the spot-kick.
Graham Potter has seen Brighton lose just once in six matches courtesy of getting things right in defence.Just six goals have been shipped in as many games, and their latest showing against Liverpool suggested that Potter has finally found a better balance with his tactics.
Nevertheless, wins for West Bromwich Albion and Fulham have kept the pressure on the South Coast outfit ahead of a busy period of the season.
Southampton come into the game after a frustrating 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Manchester United.
Having gone into half time with a 2-0 lead, Southampton were on course to end the weekend in third place and extend their unbeaten record to eight matches.
However, their second-half capitulation has put a different spin on matters – the Saints are now in sixth spot and having to deal with the disappointment of letting slip a sizeable advantage.
The two clubs last met in July, battling out a 1-1 stalemate…
PRESS CONFERENCES:
Graham Potter
On the positives from the Liverpool game...
“It is important not to get too high or too low in the PL. We face another tough game on Monday.”
He added the “performances have been positive.”
On the importance of Christmas period…
Potter said “there are lots of games and it is obvious that if you do well you can pick up a lot of points.”
On Saints’ form…
“They have carried on the good work they have done. In the last year they have been really impressive,”
“Hassenhuttl has done a great job in turning things around following that 9-0 loss to Leicester City last term.”
On using the crowd…
“We hope everyone thinks it is a positive. It is a step in the right direction and everyone is really excited for it. The August pilot event was something the players really enjoyed.”
“Great to have them back!”
On team news…
“Adam Lallana will miss the game, he will be out for a couple of weeks. Nothing too serious but a setback”
“Neal Maupay has been with the physios this week, take a decision later on in the week. Apart from that everyone is okay. Maupay’s injury wasn’t too bad.”
On missing fans…
“We’ve missed the buzz of the people and the noise around the game. They bring an extra challenge and another dimension to the match, you want that.”
Ralph Hasenhüttl
“To lose in the last minute against Man United is not nice but these things can happen,” the manager reflected. “It’s a Champions League team. It was a bit disappointing in the end, particularly to give a two-nil lead away.
“We showed some good habits and some good behaviours, but also some that we should do better in the future. This is what we immediately try to turn around in the next game.
“The fixtures coming up are not easy. We must get better and that’s the target we have in training every day. The guys are fully focussed on the next game. We have some injured players returning to training this week so this is good for us.
“What we’ve showed after the first two games of the season has definitely been an improvement of our game. We still must pay attention to try and keep clean sheets, that is the key to winning games.
“It’s not always possible to score three or four times, we must sometimes try to win games by only scoring once or twice. If we can manage this we have a bigger chance of taking points.
“Brighton have the quality to be higher in the table, they had a lot of chances to actually win against Liverpool [last week]. Last season [against Brighton] was a very important win for us, our first of the season, we took a clean sheet and scored in the right moments.”

Southampton to Win – 19/10 with FanTeam
Brighton have finally begun translating promising performances into points with five from their last three games. Nevertheless, it’s still just two wins in ten for the Seagulls as they take on an in-form Southampton.
The Saints threw away a 2-0 lead with some haphazard defending against Manchester United but have found the back of the net on a consistent basis.
Despite Danny Ings’ injury, Southampton have scored the fifth-most goals in the division and can outscore Brighton here.
