Bradford City fans boo off players and vent anger after conceding TEN goals in three games

Bradford City fans boo off their own team’s players and also took to vent anger after conceding TEN goals in the last three games.

Macaulay Langstaff and Alassana Jatta (x2) both found the net to guide Notts County to a convincing victory over the Bantam, who suffered their third straight defeat.

Bradford see their League Two playoff hopes dented again, the result leaving them 17th with 50 points from 38 games, 7 points from the playoff places. Notts County are 13th with 51 points from 38 games and 6 points from the playoffs.

The attendance of Tuesday night’s game was given as 17,983, but understandably after looking at these photos and videos, you can see why they’re sceptical of just how true that figure is…

Notts County were ahead after just 13 minutes, Jatta occupying his defender, allowing Jones to latch on to Ashby-Hammond’s long ball forward and saw his deflected shot fall nicely for Langstaff to finish.

Then with around half an hour of the game remaining, the Magpies doubled their lead, Jones’ excellent free-kick was met by a powerful Jatta header, which Walker couldn’t keep out.

Then in the 94th minute, Jatta raced on to Ashby-Hammond’s long ball and produced a superb finish to wrap it all up.

Bradford boss Graham Alexander said after defeat to Notts County: “We could not find the quality tonight.

“We wanted to make up for the last game. We were lacking in the goals department, and that has probably been the case all season.

“We have to improve on that. We have to look at ourselves and improve on our attacking output.

“It was frustrating, not for a lack of effort or commitment, it was just that final touch. In that final third, we just did not take our chances.

“We started to gamble at times, against a side that does not need any encouragement to score goals.

“Their attacking threat is there, but we can do better on our behalf. Today, we were punished by good players.

“Over the last few games, we lost our discipline.

“We currently have an imbalance in the squad. Bar the last few games, we have been good with our defensive record, but scoring goals has been an issue.

“We have to continue to push until the end of the season, end the season in a good manner and see what that brings us.

“Last time we played away, we had a good victory. We need to learn from tonight and improve on our disappointment.

“We can get out of this rut if we continue to push through. I want my players to continue to keep showing the right effort, and showing the right commitment.

“We have shown good patches of form, and we can get back to that. On Saturday, we have another opportunity and we have to take it.”

League Two leaders Mansfield also smashed Bradford 5-1 at Valley Parade on Saturday afternoon, with The Stags scoring four goals before half time to bounce back in style from a midweek loss to Tranmere.

Alexander said after defeat to Mansfield: “It was a difficult game.

“We conceded a poor first goal, which was very naïve from us, but there are things we could have done to compete better.

“Today, we played the best team in the league, and they showed it.”

“Today was a reality check, but we still have ambitions for this season.

“It is important to understand the opponent we had up against us today – they are a blueprint for us to look at going forward.

“They are top of the league, they are the top scorers, the best defence, and they showed that today. We have ambitions and we can use them as a blueprint.

“We have to show on Tuesday if today was the real us, or if we are a different team, and that that today just was not our day.

“We have to show on Tuesday what we are about. We can say what we want today, but our actions need to prove our words right on Tuesday.

“We deserve the criticism from today, but on Tuesday we have a chance to restore the faith in ourselves, and more importantly the faith in our supporters.”

This was the reaction on social media as Bradford City fans boo off players and vent anger after conceding NINE goals in three games…

@ReeceDSport: Bradford will go down soon. They think they’ll get away with it because they are a big club but it’s happened to others before and it can happen to them. Nothing that clubs does things will bring any form of success. Only thing going for it is the fanbase who are giving up

@ShumLAD: Alexander got it wrong again but still don’t see the point of getting rid. It won’t change anything. The club needs an interested owner and a competent CEO. Even when we got relegated I don’t think I felt this disconnected and uninterested #bcafc

If this is the end of Alexander.
This has to be the end of the road for Sparks.
Not saying I agree with sacking Alexander but if he is given the chop Sparks needs to walk also.
The man is out of his depth.

@spe97211: After 40 years you have destroyed my passion for the beautiful game! Not fit to wear the shirt, pathetic!!!

@darrell_ben: Watching as a neutral, sad to see this downfall. Hope you do everything you can to get these owners out.

@MKDONS_H: Was watching this game right, GA is a lovely bloke and all but the football is the worst football i have ever seen. There is literally no attempt to play football.

@Gareth198405: Yet another disgraceful display in front of an atmospherless VP. Rupp is killing this club he needs to sell before it’s too late #Ruppout

@ajwr123: What an utterly embarrassing, disgraceful, shambolic, depressing, and shameful 3 games. And tonight after GA said on Saturday that he was buzzing for the fact we were playing on Tuesday! #bcafc

@harrisonbcafc: ten goals in one week, rotten, get them all gone

@MightyChickens1: Sack Alexander bring in warnock

@ehimen_junior: Club’s in a mess so much has gone wrong

@benthorpe178: Honestly thought we were bad, but you’ve got serious problems, surely manager has to go? No one was bothered for your lot after the second goal! I know there’s something more deep rooted aswell. Hope it gets sorted for you lot, fanbase that big deserves better

@smartmart10: You can’t tell me that Pointon is worse than those representing the club tonight. Not a chance. That’s on Alexander.

@ry_mcflyy: Awful pitch, empty stadium. As a neutral can I ask What is going on!? 🫣

@johnwilkin48303: GA OUT SPARKS OUT RUPP OUT

@jaisaphene: No room for mediocrity eh lads? Fuck off Sparks and take Rupp with you.

@funny_pies: Wow. Thought we were bad.

@BcfcDresser: 1-10 in 7 days. Absolutely disgraceful. SELL THE CLUB

@OD_bcafc: Worst performance I’ve ever seen from us. Club’s finished

@SpaceParader: Has GA lost the dressing room?
