Fans took to give their reaction to the potentially points deduction Bolton could receive again this season…
They already awarded Brentford 3 points last season. We tried to rearrange it they wouldn't let us..this season we cancelled @drfc_official game because of welfare issues. The @EFL will not rest until we're dead as a club. All because of a rogue owner.

With an extra 12 points deducted there’s no chance!

This has just fuelled my hatred even more for the @EFL if true! They admit no fault at all, while they make us suffer even more for there incompetence. All we want is a fresh start! Utter joke! #BWFC https://t.co/NvarzAXEmR

@mitchj88: Let’s ducking have them. @efl running scared because they’re worried we will piss the survival so making it 12 points harder. Come at us.
Andrew Knee: ? were all going on a league 2 tour, a league 2 tour, a league 2 tour ?
Dave Haywood: League two best day out is gonna be to us…
Paul Carter: Nixon usually gets it right. Been expecting a further 6 point deduction. Take what punishment, get through this season and start again next season. Be thankful we’re not in burys situation
Tim Dryburgh: Punishment for the fans and new owners whilst the real culprits swan away with cash in their pocket. Yea that seems fair in an industry banding around FairPlay rules
David Potts: It is a little unfair if we are done points for last season as it was the league who said we would not be playing it, did BWFC ever say they would not play against Brentford. It is also 4 months down the road since then. EFL should have acted quicker. The game against Doncaster was postponed because BWFC complied with the FA rules of not playing youth players more than 2 games a week. The EFL postpone and change games all the time to fit in with international calls.
Ric Cartwright: 1. I’m not arsed, we still have a club and 2. We will smash league 2 next season
Michael Taylor: Guilty as charged for not completing last seasons fixtures, could of been kicked out of the EFL for it, maybe a bit of scope for a lesser penalty for the Doncaster game but problem with that is the club called the game off without the league’s permission. Whatever the points deduction is accept it and move on
