Bolton could face another 12-point deduction and be charged with failing to fulfil fixtures

The Trotters currently sit on minus nine points after they were hit with the same punishment for entering administration over the summer.

They failed to play against Brentford for the final Championship game of last season, the EFL gave the Bees the win and Bolton have remained unpunished since then.

Bolton also called off their League One clash against Doncaster Rovers due to a concern for the young players’ welfare with the takeover waiting to be completed at the time.

Doncaster and the league organization are far from happy about the situation. Donny never got handed any points like Brentford and the game is expected to be played at another time.

Wanderers are also to be punished for postponing the fixture without consent from the league.

Clubs in the EFL are said to be losing their patience at the delay of action being taken against them.

Journalist Alan Nixon claims that they will find out their fate next month.

He wrote after being questioned about it: “Has that look. Rival clubs getting a bit tetchy at lack of action. Bury found out today that it’s not very chummy behind closed doors.”

Fans took to give their reaction to the potentially points deduction Bolton could receive again this season – see those tweets on the next page.
