The officials of the Carabao Cup competition must have been left embarrassed prior to the Third Round games going ahead after their official Instagram account was hacked and closed down.
Eight matches were set to take place on the day it happened with another eight matches to keep fans updated on the following day.
But instead of a graphic of the latest set of results and other content as it displays for the previous rounds, a picture was uploaded to the account of someone wearing a pair of black Nike trainers captioned “Chilling x for rate in dm gal only lol”.

The 32,000 followers were left confused at what they were seeing and then as people started commenting on the bizarre photo of the trainers, they started getting abusive messages.
One follower replied: “A Man U fan must of hacked the account”.
Then the hacker wrote: “want me to kick your head into your neck you Man U hating scum”.
Some reckoned the admin simply had made a mistake and forgotten to switch accounts before posting or that he just completely lost his head.
Judging by these replies I assume they've been hacked or the admin's just lost his head? pic.twitter.com/E8jN1qvfuG

However, users can no longer access the account as it has either been deleted or taken down by Instagram themselves.
A new account has seemingly been created and it has been given the verified ticket.
