Average away attendance for every Championship club in the 2019/20 season

Average away attendance for every Championship club in the 2019/20 season has been revealed with the season currently suspended.

A total of 8,012,447 supporters have attended second tier matches throughout the campaign so far, and it had been expected to beat the amount for 2018/19.

With the ever-changing fortunes of our beloved clubs, we take a look at how well each Championship side faired in getting travelling supporters attending fixtures and filling stadiums up and down the country.

 

Here’s the list from ranked least to most, some are predictable, some are surprising: –

24th) WIGAN

The average away attendance for Wigan Athletic for the 2019/20 season was 746. They had 928 for the 2018/19 season.

 

23rd) READING

The average away attendance for Reading for the 2019/20 season was 920. They had 715 for the 2018/19 season.

 

22nd) BRENTFORD

The average away attendance for Brentford for the 2019/20 season was 929. They had 772 for the 2018/19 season.

 

21st) MILLWALL

The average away attendance for Millwall for the 2019/20 season was 1,040. They had 958 for the 2018/19 season.

 

20th) HULL

The average away attendance for Hull City for the 2019/20 season was 1,045. They had 874 for the 2018/19 season.

 

19th) FULHAM

The average away attendance for Fulham for the 2019/20 season was 1,112. The amount for last season was unknown.

 

18th) SWANSEA

The average away attendance for Swansea City for the 2019/20 season was 1,162. They had 1,049 for the 2018/19 season.

 

17th) BRISTOL CITY

The average away attendance for Bristol City for the 2019/20 season was 1,171. They had 1,061 for the 2018/19 season.

 

16th) QPR

The average away attendance for Queens Park Rangers for the 2019/20 season was 1,188. They had 922 for the 2018/19 season.

 

15th) BARNSLEY

The average away attendance for Barnsley for the 2019/20 season was 1,196. The amount for last season was unknown.

The average away attendance for Blackburn Rovers for the 2019/20 season was 1,263. They had 1,416 for the 2018/19 season.

 

13th) MIDDLESBROUGH

The average away attendance for Middlesbrough for the 2019/20 season was 1,307. They had 1,569 for the 2018/19 season.
