Young and disabled Doncaster Rovers supporters have been left distressed after Rochdale fans took to throw bricks at coaches.
The away fans were set to go away happy having just watched their side pick up a 2-1 victory at the Crown Oil Arena, however instead were in distressed.
Two of the League Two club’s six coaches put on for the travelling support were attacked with some speaking to Doncaster Free Press about feeling scared and ducking in fear.

Coach driver Leslie Smart said: “We had some young families on board for their first ever football match because it was a reasonably short trip, but they now say that they will never ever bring their children to another football match.
“It was scary. It was absolutely shameful.”
As can be seen, photos show a number of windows smashed on the club’s buses, thankfully however no one was hurt, but instead were covered in shattered bits of glass, but some of the culprits have been punished.
Smart adds: “Two of the coaches were stoned by the Rochdale supporters and had windows smashed.
“One vehicle that was stoned had wheelchair and disabled passengers on board.”
Chalk up Rochdale as some more fans to be rattled by Donny this season. 🤦🏼♂️

It’s estimated that around 300 supporters were on board the six coaches at the time of the attack.
“Fortunately no one was injured but it was very scary,” he added.
Supporters club’ spokesman Paul Mayfield said the Rochdale fans were ‘idiotic and shameful’ before adding: “I hope you are proud of yourselves.”
Rochdale meanwhile have since issued a statement on the matter.
It reads: “Rochdale Football Club condemns the actions that led to Doncaster Rovers’ supporters coach being damaged during its journey away from the Crown Oil Arena on Saturday.
“We sincerely apologise to those travelling on the bus for any distress caused, and would like to place on record that this totally unacceptable and shameful behaviour will not be tolerated.
“We are working with Greater Manchester Police to identify those responsible and any person(s) identified will be dealt with in accordance with club policy. Three club stadium bans have already been issued, with more to follow.
“Rochdale Football Club would also like to remind supporters that every fan should feel safe when they attend matches at the Crown Oil Arena. Dangerous behaviour has no place here. Let’s protect each other, the club and the game.”
This was the social media reaction as young and disabled Doncaster supporters were left distressed after Rochdale fans throw bricks at coaches…
@ChaffRAFC: Having to grab little children to keep them out of the way of the onrushing Dale fans isn’t something we should have to do either. Yes, it’s a minority but it’s a growing number too.
@bonjourkirsty: They’ll argue that they’re just being passionate 🙄 it was embarrassing to watch at the weekend. There is showing support for your team and being respectful to others. These kids aren’t doing either.
@markdavies22: They are a disgrace about time the club did something
@jon_38dale: Too right. Sadly there is a small minority of absolute bell ends that come just to cause trouble. Most of which spend half the game with their back to it in the Sandy.
@dimas_rules: And will you be condemning the same set of bellends who think it’s big and clever to rush towards the away fans barging into young children and anyone else in their way?!
@DavidFl32814060: The Sandy was a scary place to be in that stampede on Saturday after @officiallydale scored their goal. Something needs to be done about these chavs before someone is seriously injured.
@TommyRAFC: Don’t condone smashing a bus up but we must have the wettest fan base in England #RAFC
@MattyK988: What’s gone on here then?
@keithelliott94: Threw stones at ours a few years back after a league cup tie too sad to see they are still at it
@Mr_Rochdale18: Sorry to hear that pal. Small minority of our fans. Safe journey.
@Lewis67_X: Don’t get why they’re rattled or are they just jealous of the pink kit
@kieronRAFC: Sorry to hear this mate have a safe journey home x
@bonjourkirsty: Embarrassing behaviour. So sorry that some of our “fans” have done this. Glad no-one was hurt either. Hope you had a safe journey home.
@RAFCDan: Who do some of our fans think we are? Embarrassing
@IBradders: EEJITS
@CharlieRafc: We’ve got some complete melts following us haven’t we? #rafc
@AllDaleArentWe: Jesus christ state of this, literally moronic behaviour 🤦♂️
