York City fans disgusted with chairman shouting and swearing at fans during defeat

York City fans have been left disgusted with chairman Glen Henderson seen shouting and swearing at fans during Saturday’s defeat.

Maidenhead go seven points clear of the National League relegation zone, after they won away at York to end their winless streak.

The visitors took control of the LNER Stadium with two goals from Cole Kpekawa and Ashley Nathaniel George. However, Lenell John-Lewis scored one to make it a nervy end.

Maidenhead went ahead on the 39th minute, with Nathaniel George finding space to net from close range. Adams then doubled the lead by scoring a fine free kick on the hour.

John-Lewis reduced the arrears with 14 minutes left. He got on the end of Manny Duku’s flick to put the ball past the goalkeeper, with the visitors holding on to secure their first league win in eight games.

York City FC Supporters’ Trust (@ycfcst) wrote via Twitter: “The Trust is extremely disappointed to hear reports and receive an official complaint about the Chairman’s behaviour at today’s match. We do not condone any form of abuse at our football club. The matter will be addressed via the appropriate channels.”
