Wrexham appoint new manager

Wrexham have this afternoon confirmed the appointment of Graham Barrow as the new first team manager, who replaces Sam Ricketts who left for Shrewsbury Town earlier this month.

Barrow, who has been interim manager, has previously managed Wigan, Chester, Rochdale, and Bury and his deal as Wrexham manager is until the summer of 2021.

The Board of Wrexham AFC were united in their comment following the appointment: “We are delighted that Graham has accepted the offer to lead Wrexham AFC at an extremely exciting time in the development of the Club.

“Graham has impressed everyone since joining us in the summer and, along with the current backroom staff, has been a massive part of a great start to the season.

“He was the outstanding candidate to build on that work and hits the ground running after several impressive displays by the team under his guidance.”

Wrexham supporters and other fans of various clubs gave their reaction to the appointment and a fair few aren’t happy – take a look at what they had to say on the next page.
