Video emerges of Arsenal fan Ty ‘fronting’ Sunderland fans after the game, then gets dealt with by security steward.
Footage has gone viral following the Premier League fixture which saw Brian Brobbey score a dramatic injury-time equaliser for Sunderland against Arsenal, who concede their first goals since September to end a run of 10 consecutive wins in all competitions.
The hosts took the lead through Dan Ballard (ex-Arsenal academy) in the 36th minute, before Arsenal equalised in the 54th via Bukayo Saka after Declan Rice won the ball.
Leandro Trossard thought he’d won it with a 20-yard stunner, but then substitute Brian Brobbey levelled in the 94th minute with a hooked finish past David Raya.
The result leaves Arsenal 6 points clear at the top; Sunderland remain unbeaten at home and sit 4th.
The game also saw ex-Gunners player Granit Xhaka stand over Mikel Merino and shout at him.

Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “The lads worked hard to the end. They believed it was possible to change the dynamic. It was a tough game, as we expected. They are probably one of the best teams in Europe. We struggled, but we still believed it was possible to score one more goal.
“Our fans helped a lot. We showed before that it was possible [to score late goals], so now we have this faith, this belief that until the final whistle, anything is possible.
“We were on the edge sometimes, but we’re a new squad, we’re young. We felt their pressure, their intensity. We felt the quality. We were on the edge during the second half.
“We tried to find the details to win the game. They’re really strong on set pieces, but we’re good as well. This was really important for this game, and it was balanced.”
On Brian Brobbey: “We have many good options coming off the bench. So far, some of them haven’t played a lot but were still connected with the squad. Brian worked hard after Wilson [Isidor], because Wilson started well. It’s a reward for working hard.”
On Sunderland’s start: “For our fans, they deserve to look to the future with positive vibes. As a manager and coaching staff, we still want to improve our team, so we analyse. It was a good opportunity to do that and to improve the squad later.
“We struggled, as expected, but even when we went through difficult moments we felt it was possible to change the dynamic and create something.
“We had to be the best we could in different phases. The first half was balanced. We were organised out of possession with the ability to threaten the opponent from set pieces, and we were good in play as well. The second half was more difficult.
“We have a well-balanced team with different options. Small and tall guys, quick guys – different profiles. When we prepared for the season, it was really important to add physicality to the squad.
“[Dan] Ballard and Trai [Hume] were here and the season before. They’re a connection between the past and the future. They have a strong character.”
On Sunderland’s season so far: “We’re still in the learning process. We have some strengths and some weaknesses, and we want to improve our squad.”
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, speaking to Sky Sports: “Really tough test, we knew that. The way they set up, credit to them because they made it difficult for you.
“They take the game constantly to the areas that they want. You have to deal with that and very unfortunately, at the end, we conceded a goal.
“The time that was added tells you the story of the game. It’s normal, each team tries to do their best and we do the same.”
On message to his players at half-time: “What we had to do better. It is clear what they do and they do it really, really well. It’s good to show it and to try to train it, then you have to execute it on the pitch.
“We knew the game was going to be really long. We need a goal to believe, we’ve done it. We’ve put them on the back foot, created a lot of chances, scored the second goal.
“Then another direct ball, we lose the flick and, to be fair, the striker moves his leg in an incredible way to anticipate David [Raya] and score the goal.”
On the goals conceded: “Yeah, it is two direct balls and we lose the flicks – it is the same action. Credit to the opposition, it is not the first time they’ve done it.
“They committed a lot of players forward at the end with Ballard and created chaos – in any moment they can score a goal. That is the reason they are where they are.”
On difficulty of the league: “It shows every week. Against any opponent, you know the margins that you win football matches. We understand and recognise that.
“We understand the difficulty of winning 10 games in a row and keeping a clean sheet. Now we have the international break and we’re very disappointed because we wanted the three points. But we have to go again.”
On injured players: “We have seven injured players missing from the front line so we were very limited with the options we had. But you are going to go through these periods.”
On getting stronger from this result: “For sure, I loved the way the team reacted and we scored the two goals to go ahead. It’s just a shame that we conceded in the last minute in the manner we’ve done it. But that’s the league.”
“The fight in the team is incredible” 😤

Sunderland defender Dan Ballard, speaking to Sky Sports: “You saw again the fight in the team. The boys worked so hard throughout the whole week. We fight right to the end. The number of late goals we’ve scored – it’s brilliant.
“They caused us a lot of problems. We were camped in on the edge of the box. We knew we’d have to take our chances at set pieces and be more aggressive off the ball. We thought we could get something from the game, and we did.”
On Sunderland’s magnificent start: “We’re very calm. It’s a long season. We’ve had a good start, but a lot of games have been tight. If we keep going like this, hopefully we can achieve our goal.”
Ballard, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “We’ve had some late goals recently – not just this year, last year as well.
“Great character from the lads and it seems to be a bit of theme, a lot of late goals for us.”
On late block: “I think at the stage of the game, if we conceded there it would have been a huge blow at the end. It probably meant more [than the goal] but there’s no feeling like scoring a goal.”
On his goal: “It was a bit of a blur. When you get into those moments, you don’t think, it just happens so I’ll have to watch it back. I just remember lashing it really – and thankfully it went in!”
On draw feeling like a win: “I’d say so, it’s a good morale boost to show we can go against a really top team – probably one of the best in Europe at the minute – and delighted with that.
“But it is just one point and we’ve got a lot of work to do to achieve our goal of staying up this year.”
On good start to the season: “These four games between international breaks, there were some tough ones in there. We probably didn’t expect to come out with eight points from those four games so we’re delighted.
“We’re working extremely hard and it’s showing o the pitch but the games are tight and could easily have gone the other way so we’ve got to keep our feet on the ground and work really hard.
“There will be times this season where it won’t go our way so we’ll just keep going.”
Here’s how Twitter users reacted as a video emerges of Arsenal fan Ty ‘fronting’ Sunderland fans then gets dealt with by security…
@MarcGibbons4: Ty giving it large to the Sunderland fans because he couldn’t accept they fought well against us so he behaves like a child and throws a tantrum..so much so he has to get manhandled away

@PaulSurin: It’s an absolute disgrace @AFTVMedia er
@Thi5Leo: Don’t be angry with the Sunderland fan. He should be angry with Raya; Raya was to blame for the draw.
@bennufc_18: Just take the draw and keep it pushing why you trying to get in peoples faces 😂
@Xhmed_7_lfc: Nah that’s kinda deep 😭 why’s he dragging him like that
@sfjlobe_8: Since when have stewards been allowed to scruff and drag someone? No matter your opinion of Ty personally, this is heavy-handed.
@RobertAryee4: The state of it 😩 there’s no need to hold him he ain’t gonna do nothing
@hornchurchammer: Stood next to him once at theirs. Only a row of stewards between us. He was getting plenty of stick off us as we were, unexpectedly, winning there. He took it all, didn’t flinch. Sort of admired him for that. And now today, embarrassing.
