VIDEO: Brentford boss Thomas Frank sent off for squaring up to Wolves players

Brentford boss Thomas Frank ended up getting sent off for squaring up to Wolves players and a sparking brawl after the final whistle.

The manager fumed after his side fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Wolves, with Ruben Neves’ 78th-minute strike deciding the game.

Tempers were still flaring minutes after full time with opposing players clashing on the pitch.

Frank appeared to have squared up to numerous players including midfielder Joao Moutinho, who had opened the scoring.

However the Bees manager didn’t stop there, losing it with the officials and was eventually shown dismissed from the field.

The red card brought an end to a dramatic and bizarre match, which had to be halted after a drone was flown above the stadium on and off for 30 minutes.

After getting back underway, Moutinho confidently broke the deadlock in the 48th minute with a fine curling shot after playing a one-two with Nelson Semedo.

Toti Gomes was handed a ridiculous red card in the game, VAR then correctly advised referee Peter Bankes for a foul on Kristoffer Ajer.

Brentford felt justice had been done, though, when Bryan Mbeumo’s resulting free kick met Ivan Toney who volleyed home a 71st minute equaliser.

That scoreline lasted just seven minutes as Ruben Neves netted with a shot from the edge of the box after being set up by Moutinho.

Frank subbed both of his concussion subs as he tried to halt their dreadful run which has seen them lose six of their last seven top-flight matches.

He saw red at the end after Wolves sub Adama Traore had a goal chalked off by VAR.
